I was supposed to be ASLEEP

But I can't stop looking at Virgil

Virgil. My husband of 1 year

I love everything about him

His soft purple hair

His rare & beautiful purple and green eyes

His light freckles which I think is adorable

His soft purrs he makes instead of snoring

His tendency to steal my hoodies

The way he cuddles up to me during a storm

He's perfect for me

I brush his hair so I can see him better

He's so peaceful just laying here with me

We fit together, like puzzle pieces

He's my rock, he helps me see the reality of things

I am his anchor, I help him from any of his problems in a flash

I realized that I was thirsty

I reluctantly slid out of our comfortable bed and walked down the stairs to the kitchen

I found 2 glasses and filled them with water. I heard footsteps coming from downstairs so I waited

I picked him up bridal style because I know Virgil secretly loves that and went back upstairs to our comfortable bed

I set him down on his side of our bed, I walked over to my side

I tucked us in with our warm blanket covering us both, Virgil went to sleep instantly. I pulled him gently towards me and wrapped my arms around him

Virgil turns around to bury his face into me again. I smell his lovely lavender scent coming from him

I kissed his head once again before falling back to sleep with my husband
