He almost DROWNED in the salty ocean
Virgil was only 5 years old and was enjoying a nice weekend at the beach with his parents
Virgil didn't listen to his father Logan to not let go of his and Patton's hand in the vast ocean
Virgil toddled deeper and deeper, his brown hair quickly getting wet and disappearing
Patton and Logan was about to open their cooler and ask Virgil if he's hungry when they didn't see their son
The parents immediately ran to the lifeguards chair, 2 in yellow and green dashed into the ocean looking under for the small boy
Virgil was found 2 minutes later, revived by the lifeguards
Virgil became afraid of the ocean, he didn't go near a beach again as he grew up.
But his boyfriend Roman wanted to go on a romantic beach date and so Virgil reluctantly agreed, still afraid of the ocean
The couple packed and drove to the beach, carrying their things as they walked on the sand
Virgil immediately pulled out the umbrella and his chair, situating the umbrella over him to get shade. Meanwhile Roman laid out a large towel and put his chair next to Virgil's
The couple sat for a couple of minutes until Roman wanted to go in the ocean

Wanna go in the ocean with me?
Virgil shook his head no
{Roman}
Come on Stormy, it'll be fun, it's probably not that cold
Virgil shook his head no again and bit his right thumbnail, a habit to show he's nervous
Roman understood what that action meant

Why are you nervous, it's just water
