Part 2 of a 3 parter, Honeymoon is the final
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Virgil and Roman are getting MARRIED today. It was at a butterfly sanctuary and they were flying all around the venue. After many months of preparation in their apartment, the couple were ready to spend the rest of their life bounded by love
Logan, Patton, Janus, and Remus were the groomsmen. Thomas was the ring bearer while Joan and Talyn did flower duty. Patton was also set to walk Virgil down the aisle
Roman had a white suit with red and gold details. Virgil had a black suit with purple and white details along with a black veil. On both of their pockets was a butterfly pin courtesy of the sanctuary
Roman was patiently waiting for Virgil along with the officiant for the ceremony and the groomsmen
The guests were seated already facing the arch
Finally it was time
Virgil, along with Patton, walked down the aisle. Virgil was holding a bunch of red roses wrapped in purple mesh. Thomas, Joan, and Talyn walked behind them with the rings and flowers respectively
Virgil reached Roman and Patton went next to Logan on the right side of the arch
The officiant made the traditional speech and asking for any objections. There wasn't any fortunately. It was time for Virgil and Roman to exchange vows
//Officiant//
I will now invite the couple to share their vows with one another. Roman and Virgil , the promises you make today are sacred; they are the groundwork from which your marriage will grow and blossom over time.
Roman, would you like to begin first?
{Roman}
Virgil, I take you to be my partner for life, my constant friend, and my true love. I will work to create a bond of honesty, respect, and trust; one that withstands the tides of time and change, and grows along with us. I vow to honor and respect you for all that you are and will become, taking pride in who we are, both separately and together. I promise to challenge you and to accept challenges from you. I will join with you and our community in an ongoing adventure to create a world we all want to live in, where love and friendship will be recognized and celebrated in all their many forms. Our home will be a sanctuary and a respite for us and for those whom we cherish. Above all, I will give you my love freely and unconditionally. I pledge this to you from the bottom of my heart, for all the days of our lives
//Minister//
Virgil , your turn.
¥Virgil¥
I could stand here and tell you how much I love you, but those words are meaningless unless they are shown through my actions. These are my promises. I vow to stay silly and never take ourselves too seriously. I vow to trust and value your opinions. I vow to travel beside you through all of life's adventures. I vow to always keep fighting for us, because I know we can overcome any uphill battles we might face. And lastly, I vow that I will choose you every day—not because I have to, but because I want to.
//Minister//
Let us proceed
//Minister//
Roman and Virgil , it's time to join hands.
Roman , before your family and friends, do you take Virgil as your beloved Husband, to have and to hold, through laughter and in sadness, through challenges and successes, so long as you both shall live?
{Roman}
I do.
Wedding rings are a traditional symbol of the strength of the bond between two soulmates. This bond is never broken, and continues in a perpetual circle, glowing with the warmth and eternal light of two souls in a perfect union. By wearing these rings, you will be always reminded of the connection you share and the vows you have made today.
Please repeat after me:
I, Roman , present you, Virgil , with this ring as a symbol of our everlasting love. Let it never lose its luster, just as my love for you will never fade.
Roman repeats the phrase and puts the ring on Virgil
Roman kissed Virgil softly but with passion and love. They pulled away and the crowd cheered
The reception was in a large gazebo with a dance floor and appetizer tables with cheese and crackers. The guests also had dinner and cake when the appetizers were switched out from the tables
It was time for Roman and Virgil's first dance. The guests made a circle around the newlyweds and was silent while Roman and Virgil were dancing
When it was over, Roman dipped Virgil and kissed him again
Later the wedding was over and guests left the gazebo. Roman and Virgil were the only ones left. They shared a final dance alone
