Chapter Thirty

Everyday, after school I always call Mom to check up on Dad. I feel really bad these past few days. My mind is block, even my body isn't cooperating well. Muntik na din akong hindi nakapasa ng isang project namin, good thing I have friends to remind me about that dahil nawala talaga sa isip ko. Dad is making me worry. If only I could fly right away to him I would but I can't, I have to finish my study first.

"Jane be strong okay. Malapit na ang bakasyon konting tiis na lang." Helene said.

We were in the cafeteria now and we just finished our lunch. Vlad and the boys are not with us today because they have other stuffs to do.

"That's right Jane. If you want you can visit Tito this Christmas I'm sure matutuwa iyon." Zei suggested.

Agad akong lumingon sa kaniya. She's right, I can visit Dad this coming vacation. But what about them?

"What about you then?" I worriedly asked. We always hang out together after Christmas Eve. It's always like that, every vacation means another memorable day with them.

"Ano ka ba? Okay lang kami no. It's time to celebrate Christmas with your family na rin. Just go girl, dito lang kami hanggang sa pagbalik mo."

I smiled genuinely to them. They really are understanding. I don't know what to do if I don't have them in my life.

After our class I waited for Vlad. He said he would let me visit their firm today. I am quite excited because finally I'll be able to see what my man is doing.

"Hey did you wait too long?" Vlad kissed me in my cheek upon seeing me.

"No I didn't."

He opened the door of his car for me and guided me to sit. Ninakawan pa ako nito ng halik ng tuluyan niyang ikabit sa akin ang seatbelt. He is always like that. He's really sweet.

Vlad has been with me throughout these days. He even come and fetch me everyday. He said he won't let me get tired like as if driving could make me tired. Well, I didn't say anything because it's quite an advantage to me. Less gas, less expenses.

"Wow." I said when we're finally in front of the building. I believe it's an 8th floor building. It has a golden signage that says Cordova Law Firm.

Everyone we came across with greeted Vlad. Maybe because he's the heir? He tour me around. He shows me his small office in the 4th floor. Natutuwa ako dahil nagsimula siya sa baba. Kalevel niya dito ang mga average lawyers and other employees. It really helps a lot to interact with your employees. I hope I could do that as well.

He said the CEO's office is the entire 8th floor and he just visit there twice. Not all employees can go there. You have to set an appointment first to meet the CEO. I feel a little bit sad for Vladimir because of his Dad. I know their work is exclusively professional but even at home? I hope he could treat his son fair enough. It's hard to Vlad as well. Daddy don't pressure me unlike Mom but it's not that high just like Vlad's Dad. I believe parents have their own way on treating their children, sad thing Vlad has to be treated hard.

"Thank you for bringing me here Vlad. I get to know you more." I said while we are heading on our way to my house.

"Anything for you Angel."

I was thinking of what to open up to him when I remember the thought from earlier.

"Vlad I'll spend Christmas in the US. I badly wanted to see Dad."
