In the other side, Lilo was reviewing the documents sent to her by the department secretary of the airlines. He doesn’t have a flight for three consecutive days so he stayed in the office to sign some documents for the whole month.
“Here’s Miss Selah’s resume’ sir.” His secretary said while handling a folder to him.
“Thank you.” He simply replied.
“By the way sir, Mrs. Cervantes’ secretary made a call a while ago and asking for an appointment with you.” She said.
“Mrs. Cervantes? Is she a new client of the airlines?” he asked.
“Yes sir. They actually tried to reach out to you last week but you’re in a flight. So I told them to ask for an appointment this week.” She replied.
“I see. Okay, set me a meeting with her tomorrow. It’s better late in the afternoon. I have an important meeting with our VIP clients tomorrow morning, right?” he assured to her.
“Noted sir! That would be all.” She finally said.
Lilo looked over with Selah’s file. He was impressed of her profile and experiences in her recent work.
“Why did she resign if she has a good position in her recent job?” he asked himself curiously. He was silent for a while as several thoughts ran through his mind.
“Tomorrow, she’ll be starting to work with me. I better congratulate her after this.” He said.
In the last five years, Lilo hasn’t laid eyes to anyone he met on his flight or any clients he has set an appointment with. But, after he met Selah that night, though she’s unaware of it, that’s the first time he laid eyes again to a woman. Despite of their first impression with each other regarding table manners, Lilo never takes his eyes off her. Until he found out that she’s a daughter of a business man who made an arrangement with his father a decade ago. Honestly speaking, he’s been looking for her for five years now unfortunately; her grandma always said that she’s working in another place far from the city. Due to various businesses he managed as well as being a pilot, Lilo never get a time to focus on searching for her. But, it was a coincidence that night that his grandma saw Selah in the bus station when she went for a visit to her relatives outside the city. Desperate like him, her grandma made a plan to make her come to the mansion and spend the night there. Though it was a bit strange to invite a person who you just met and knew personally, she still made her way to the mansion. So, that made Lilo took the earliest flight after knowing from her grandma that she finally found her.
“Hey dude! You’re staring blankly at the wall.” His friend Eli surprised him in the office.
“Dude! When did you arrive? You told me you’ll spend another week in States.” He asked while making his way to hug him.
“Yeah! It’s just that I want to see you and hang out with our friends. It’s been a while.” Eli replied.
“Yeah. It’s been a while. Are you married?” he asked curiously.
“Of course I’m not! I’m still single…like you, right?” he confidently asked.
“No dude. I was married few weeks ago. Sorry. I haven’t sent you any invitations. It’s a bit urgent.” He said.
“You’re kidding me, right” he asked him.
“I’m serious dude.” He replied.
“Show me a ring in your hand, man.” He said seriously.
