“Lilo, what’s wrong?” Selah rushed into the kitchen after she heard a clatter of noise.

“Are you alright?” she asked again after seeing Lilo’s expression.

Lilo stood frozen in a place after a conversation from his phone. The cold look in his eyes sent chills down Selah’s spine, not the good kind since she knew something was really wrong. He didn’t answered her and now he looked like he would about to explode on her and she couldn’t control it.

“Forget it! I’m fine.” He coldly replied.

“What’s going on here? I heard the clatter and now you’re about to explode and that’s what I could get from asking you? Forget it? I’m fine?” she asked continuously.

Selah wouldn’t admit it but she was scared of his expression.

Instead of continuing their conversation, Lilo went outside while Selah remained in their room. She decided to keep herself busy with some office meetings and works instead of worrying about what happened earlier.

She had been enjoying the peace and quiet she got from her working area but it was interrupted by a phone call from an unknown number in her list. It repetitively ringing that seemed inviting for her to answer the call. When she got irritated by the sound of it, she then reached it out and answered the call.

“Who’s this?” she asked directly.

“Hello dear. It’s me, your mom.” It was really the voice of her mom.

“What do you want?” she asked.

“Where’s your husband? Did he like what he heard?” she said while laughing over the phone.

“What did you do this time?” she asked angrily over the phone.

“Go and find it yourself. Good luck, dear.” Her mom said over the phone full of sarcasm.

She waited for Lilo to return back to the hotel after his afternoon flight. It was passed seven o’clock in the evening and still she was waiting for him in the balcony of their room. She was worried at the same time curious of what her mother said to him over the phone that made him so cold at her after their conversation.

It was passed ten o’ clock when someone knocked on the door. She assumed it would be Lilo this time not the staff that brought her dinner a while ago. The moment she opened the door, it was Emmett smiling at her.

“Where’s Lilo?” she asked directly on him.

“He’s drunk. Can you help me out?” he said while explaining to her while walking towards his car what had happened to them. Tears were streaming down to her face and Emmett noticed it.

“Hey, what’s that? Why are you crying?” he asked worriedly.

“I don’t know! I don’t know!” she repeatedly said while continuously walking towards the parking lot.

They went towards him and there she saw Lilo drunk and wasted while still wearing his uniform from his flight. Selah helped in bringing him back to their room. After that, Emmett bid farewell to her. Selah just thanked him for bringing him back to the hotel.

“Selah.” He looked at her with eyes doubting.

She wrapped her arms around his shoulder from the side to transfer him to their bed.
