“Good morning. How’s your sleep?” he asked while frying an egg for breakfast.
“It’s better than my first time here, I think.” She replied. “What did you cook for breakfast?” She continued.
“It’s simple as always. But, I’m sure you’ll like it.” He confidently said.
“Aside from fried egg, are there pancakes?” she curiously asked.
“Of course.” He said.
Selah excitedly set the plates at the table and made some coffee for both of them. Lilo just glanced at her while happily setting the table. His eyes followed her everywhere until Selah noticed him.
“Don’t do that! It made me uncomfortable.” She said while continuously preparing the table.
His cheeks tinted pink that made him looked away from her. “Sorry about that.” He just replied.
The breakfast was finally set at the table. After gracing the food, Selah excitedly took a lift to the pancake and transferred it to her plate. Lilo gave her the syrup. Selah happily and excitedly ate the pancakes until she noticed Lilo just eating the bread and egg for breakfast.
“Why are you not eating pancakes?” she asked.
“Uh, I actually don’t like pancakes for breakfast.” He sheepishly said.
“Why you didn’t say so? You should prepare something we both eat for breakfast.” She said and paused for a while with her food.
“It’s okay. I knew that you love pancakes the first time I cooked it for breakfast. I just want to prepare a good breakfast for you.” He replied.
“Then, what do you usually eat for breakfast?” she curiously asked.
“I preferred soup but it’s quite difficult to prepare and it takes enough time to cook.” He said.
Selah just nodded at him when suddenly her phone buzzed at the corner. Her happy face turned into frown to what she saw over the phone.
“Are you okay?” Lilo stood and asked her.
“Can we go back now? I need to visit the resort. My mom is there and someone texted me she’s making a scene. I’m afraid of what she might do with my grandma.” She worriedly said.
Lilo ran towards his room and got the car keys. He called the caretaker over his phone to take care of the mess they left. He drove the car fast towards the resort not even bothered of the rough road they took.
Selah’s eyes were bothered but Lilo focused on his drive. It took for a while after they have reached the resort. As soon as they reached the resort, Lilo banged the door of his car and walked as fast as he could behind Selah’s back .Selah didn’t even turned her back at him or didn’t say anything anymore.
She opened the front glass door of the cafeteria and began searching for her mom inside. Lilo just let out a heavy sigh knowing that he can’t control Selah this time. Looking at her searching for her mom, she didn’t know where to start. Will it be at the counter? Will it be at the left wing of the cafeteria? Will it be at the right wing? She really didn’t know until Selah shouted inside the cafeteria.
“Come Out!” She shouted with all her might.
Those dine ins of the restaurant were surprised and some looked worried to how she reacted inside. With shaking hands of so much anger inside, she hurriedly went outside the cafeteria but she found it empty as well. She almost crouched down, suddenly losing the power to hold herself up.
