The next morning, Lilo caught up with his flight earlier than he expected. He rushed himself to the airport wearing his official suit with his travel bag on his shoulder.

That morning, he left a note for Selah in the kitchen table since he’s leaving for a week and his schedule was pushed to an earlier flight and she was still in her room, sleeping.

Stepping into the airport is a bit cold than outside. He searched for his travel coat inside his bag. After, he rushed to his cabin and prepared for the morning flight since a lot of passengers were heading their way towards the boarding area. He would definitely be busy in times like this since there were lots of passengers from domestic and international flights. It would be a lot better to keep his mind off from her for a while.

Its twelve noon already in the California time but he hasn’t heard any word from Selah or from his grandma. For him, this is the hardest thing of being apart from the people in the mansion. He couldn’t see them nor couldn’t tell if they’re doing fine or worse.

“I need to do something.” He told himself. Scrolling to his phone and hit a call on her name.

“Lilo? Lilo, right?” a woman wearing a black dress approached him at his back.

“Yes, ma’am.” He replied politely.

“Oh come on! Drop the word ma’am. I’m Leila; I’m Eli’s best friend back in States. Don’t you remember me? We were introduced to each other before.” She friendly replied.

“Oh, I remember. Sorry, I was introduced to a lot of his friends so I sometimes forget some of them.” He said.

"But we met already in a family dinner with your aunt three years ago back in the Philippines, right?" She assured him.

"Perhaps. I'm sorry I'm not good at remembering names." He replied.

“It’s okay. So, I guess you’re not the duty pilot for this flight?” she continued as she motioned her hand towards the passengers boarding to their flight.

“Yeah! I’m not. Why?” he asked.

“Can I invite you for a coffee before my flight tomorrow?” she asked.

“There’s no problem, I guess. But, let me just give a call at home.” He replied.

“Sure. Take your time.” She said while waiting for him at the bench.

He dialed his phone and searched for Selah’s name on his list of contacts. Eventually, a voice over the phone response at him.

“Yes?” Selah’s voice over his phone.

“Is everything okay?” he asked.

“Our department was actually busy for this new advertisement assigned to us. So, our department manager is actually demanding for an overtime tonight.” She seriously replied.

“Oh, did you bring your car?” he asked again. But suddenly, Selah hang up her phone leaving Lilo alone in the line. He did not dial again since she must be really busy at work.

She went back to Leila who was waiting for him. They headed towards the coffee shop inside the airport. Leila was a bit distracted to Lilo’s disturbed face.

“Is everything okay?” she asked him.

“Yeah. I’m fine.” He replied as he was surprised hearing that from her.
