Leigh, Lilo’s secretary came over to Selah’s hotel room to pick her up since she was instructed by her boss. Lilo has an early flight that day so he asked Leigh to look after her and accompany her all throughout her presentation.
After a time, the bell of Selah’s room rang. She left out a deep sigh as she headed towards the door to open it.
“Leigh!” she greeted her.
“Ma’am, are you okay?” Leigh asked her instead of greeting her.
“I’m fine. I just feel weak all of a sudden. I might catch colds.” She said while putting on her coat to give her warmth.
“You should at least take meds. We will surely have a long day today for our presentation.” She said.
“I’m fine Leigh. It’s just I’m not in my best mood today.” She replied. “But, I can still continue my work. I’ll just rest at the plane after this.” She continued.
They were about to left her room when suddenly, Leigh’s phone buzzed. She answered it immediately after Lilo’s name was displayed on her screen.
“Sir.” She replied. “I’m actually with her.” She continued.
Selah’s just glanced at her while reviewing her presentations for their business meeting.
“I don’t think so sir. She’s a bit weak and sick.” She reported.
After that, she turned off her phone to prepare for their meeting. It took almost three hours after their last meeting ended. They both headed directly towards the airport to book an earlier flight since Selah isn’t fine by simply looking at her.
“Leigh, I can still carry this. You have a lot of luggage to carry. Just let me handle this.”
She tried to convince her but Leigh did not let her carry alone all her belongings.
“If not, let’s better call for help.” She said.
It took almost few minutes before a staff went towards her together with Leigh. He carried their luggage through a cart and walked behind them as they boarded the plane.
Their travel back to the Philippines was smooth as always since the weather is good. The flight took few hours before they landed in the airport. Leigh was still worried on how Selah looked right now. Her face was a bit reddened and her temperature was a bit high. She has a slight fever.
“Can you manage to drive your car, ma’am? It’s quite late in the evening.” She worriedly asked her.
“I’m fine, Leigh. I can manage. Don’t worry.” She replied.
They continued walking towards the exit door of the airport when suddenly; Lilo showed up and grabbed her belongings.
“I thought you still have a flight back to California tonight. Why are you here?” she calmly asked as she walked beside him.
“I took a leave for at least three days. Leigh informed me this morning that you’re not feeling well. So, I decided to wait for you in the terminal.” He explained.
Leigh suddenly interrupted their conversation because she has a different route to take.
“Take care, Leigh. Thanks.” Lilo replied.
