I got up early than Taylor. We slept pretty late last night so Taylor was passed out beside me. She was sobbing pretty much the whole night until I was able to calm her down.

Two bad things happened to her in just one night.

Parties were bad news for both of us. Same drama different people. One problem. Madison.

I got ready for school. I wore black jeans and a baby pink top for school. Then I combed my hair and tied them in a high ponytail.

"Clary, I don't want to go to school today." A raspy voice startled me.

Taylor was up and was still lying on my bed. Her eyes and lips were swollen because of crying so much and her voice was raspy too.

I put my comb back in its place and went to sit beside Taylor.

"You feeling better?" I asked Taylor as she rubbed her eyes.

She snorted. "I feel shitty. My head is pounding and it feels like my chest has this weight on it."

"Shower and eat something. You will feel much better." She nodded massaging her head.

"I will. I just." She exhaled loudly. "I just don't want to go to school today. I don't want to see that asshole's face or his partner." She said referring to Sam and Madison.

I sighed. "It's up to you Tay. But I think that you should go to school and show them how brave and unbothered you are."

"The opposite actually." She snorted and pulled up the blanket above her head.

"Give me your black t shirt that I love then I'll think about it." Her voice came out muffled from under the blanket. I chuckled.

Taylor was finally up and ready and feeling a tiny bit better. She surprised my mom when we both walked in to the kitchen.

"Oh Taylor!" My mom shrieked in surprise and hugged her. "You stayed over?"

"Yes Jen." She gave my mom a small fake smile.

My mom could make out that and she looked at me puzzled. I shook my head at my mother to which she sighed and continued her work.

Jake requested that he wanted to take us to school today so he was over in half an hour.

Jake kissed my forehead when we met him. Then his eyes moved over to Taylor, flashing with concern. He looked at me asking for questions and I gave him a look.

Does she look fine? Boys are blind.

"Hi Taylor." Jake smiled at her cautiously. Taylor gave him a small fake smile too. He sighed at that.

We pulled up at school. I could sense the anger and nervousness coming off from Taylor. I passed an enthusiastic smile at her. She gave me a look.

Not the.time Clary.

The morning passed by. I was by Taylor's side the whole time. Sam tried meeting Taylor but Taylor just avoided going anywhere near him.

She just attended her classes quietly and then we met at her locker.

____________

The bell finally rang for lunch. I quickly got up from my desk and hurried off to Taylor's locker.

She was already there. "I just wanna bash that stupid face of his." She muttered as I stood beside her.

"Me too." I replied. "And hers too." I said as I saw Madison walking towards the cafeteria.

"I'll gladly join you." She shook her head as she closed her locker finally.

We moved to the cafeteria after putting our books in our respective lockers.

The cafeteria was crowded as we entered it. Sam was nowhere to be found which was a relief for us.

We got our food and sat down at our usual place. Taylor did not take much to eat. Her tray only consisted of a sandwich and a juice can (which I forcefully put on her plate. )

Taylor quietly nibbled on her sandwich while I played guard for anyone approaching our table.

Thankfully no one disturbed us during lunch.

We completed our lunch early and got up to get out of the cafeteria.

We walked out of the cafeteria into the empty hallways when Taylor stiffened beside me.

I saw Sam standing at the end of the corridor waiting for someone. He saw us enter the hallway from the cafeteria and straightened. He started walking towards us.

I heard Taylor suck in a huge breath. I stood in front of Taylor, covering her from Sam.

"Taylor. Finally." Sam gushed as he approached us. "I have been wanting to talk to you."

I rolled my eyes at Sam. "Not the time Sam." I said bitterly.

His eyes snapped from Taylor's to me. He glared at me. "No one is talking to you Clarissa." He snapped at me.

"Good thing then. Because the time for talking is over when you showed us what kind of a person you really are." I glared back at him. I took Taylor's hand and started walking away from him.

But Sam caught Taylor's hand in his own. Taylor gasped at that.

"Leave her hand Sam. Let us go." I said to Sam, a warning in my tone.

"Clary you better stay quiet. This is between us two." He said, his voice increasing by the second.

"Yeah. That ended when you brought a third person in your relationship." I snapped.

"Sam!" A shrilly voice burnt my ear off. "Are you okay hon?" Madison appeared beside Sam. She gave us a bored look then smirked when her eyes landed on me.

Taylor beside me was completely still.

"What's going on here?" A familiar deep voice interrupted us.

Jake came to stand beside me, his eyes zeroing on Sam's hand on Taylor's. I could literally see the heart eyes in Madison's eyes when Jake appeared.

"Jake tell your girlfriend to stop poking her nose in something that is none of her buisness." Sam's eyes were throwing daggers at me.

"No." I said to Sam. "And Sam if you want to talk to me, talk to me directly not through Jake." I raised my eyebrows at him.

An evil sneer formed on Sam's lips. "You want me to talk to you directly? Ok listen then you slut. I just told you that I want to talk to her." He looked over at Taylor. "But you bitches can't hear can you? So yes, I told Jake to handle his boy toy which has been jumping around thinking they grew a spine."

Those words left us speechless.

Sam became speechless too.

Because of the punch that Jake just landed on him.
