"And then there was a prince. Jake." I interrupted, my eyes still on Jake as he smiled softly.
"Just like you, daddy." Nate said as he looked at his father.
"Yes just like him." I smiled back.
"What happened then." Our kids looked curiously over at Jake as he continued the story.
They were listening with so much attention to Jake's every word.
Our children adored their father. They looked upto him. They had so much respect and love for him that I felt a tiny bit jealous sometimes. Their were their daddy's children.
Listening to Jake's story we all went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night to check on the kids out of habit and I almost laughed out loud at the sight in front of me.
Stella had turned around in her sleep and her toe was on Jake's mouth, squishing his lips. Jake's lips were parted as he slept cuddling with Stella's leg.
I bit in a smile as I saw my little boy. He was snuggled up against me in a small ball. His pinkie was tangled with a strand of my hair and his other arm was searching for mine. I drew my hand nears to his and he wrapped it around me. I kissed his forehead and went back to sleep.

"Happy anniversary my love." Jake's voice woke me up as he pressed his lips to my forehead.
I got up slowly making sure that I didn't wake the kids who were passed out beside me.
"Happy anniversary honey." I pecked Jake's lips. He bought me breakfast in bed.
I shook my head then pointed to the breakfast and kids.
"Can't have it here." I whispered then got out of bed slowly.
I brushed my teeth then we took the breakfast out to our balcony. He had made me some pancakes and sandwiches along with a large mug of coffee.
"Nate would love this." I said pointing to the pancakes. Nate loved Jake's handmade pancakes. Those were his favourite.
Jake nodded. "I got plenty."
After having a lovely breakfast we got dressed quickly. Our friends and family were coming over to celebrate our anniversary together.
"Mommy!" Nate and Stella screamed as they ran towards me.
"What?" I asked as they took one of my hand each and pulled me to the living room where Jake was sitting.
"Sit down." Nate ordered. Wow. Ordering his mother around already.
I sat beside Jake who looked just as confused as me.
We looked at them waiting for them to react. Both of them pulled out a hand made card and gave it to us.
My eyes widened as they gave us their cards.
I took Stella's card while Jake took Nate's. We looked through them with the biggest smiles on our faces.
They made the cutest cards with hearts and smilies all over the paper.
"Happy an-i-was- what?" Stella started and we laughed.
I kissed her chubby cheek. "It's anni-ver-sary baby."
"These are amazing. Thank you guys." Jake hugged both of them closely. Nate's ears were starting to turn red.
I laughed and gave them a kiss each.
A knock interrupted us. We got up to open the door. It was our parents.
"Happy anniversary dears!" They greeted and hugged us close.
