"You should call him." Jake said. He was still looking at the picture as if unable to make out if it was real or not.
I nodded.
I excused myself and went outside to call Adam. I was soo excited for him.
"Hello!" Adam answered excitedly as the call connected.
"What the hell Adam! Yayy!" I cried out in equal excitement.
"I know! I was so freaking nervous. Goodness!" Adam said.
"I understand. How did you think of it so suddenly?" I asked leaning against an unknown car.
"Kevin. He motivated me to come out to everyone. He even supported me with it. He's right here with me right now." Adam gushed excitedly. Today was a big day for him.
"I like him already. I got to meet him as soon as possible then." I smiled. "He's a good one Adam, I am glad you have him."
"Yeah he is excited to meet you too. My ex straight girlfriend." We both chuckled. "I know Clary, I know."
"Big day for you today!" I exclaimed.
"Yes! I am so glad that people are taking it in a positive way and supporting me. I feel so relieved and so so happy." He genuinely seemed happy and that made me smile.
"I am very happy for you Adam."
"That I know, thank you for being such a great friend Clary. Your support means the world." Adam said, his voice sounding completely genuine.
"Always there for you."
"Ok. Got to go now, millions of people are calling me." Adam laughed.
"Ok bye. Take care."
"You too!" With that he cut the call.
I squealed loudly in excitement before going back inside the cafe and to Jake.
Jake was sitting in a booth by himself, deep in thought.
He looked up at me when I slipped in the booth in front of him.
Then he looked down as if ashamed of something. I moved my hand on top of his. His eyes found mine at that.
"I told you nothing is going on. He is just a close friend of mine." I smiled at him.
Hi ears were turning red and he looked down again.
"I know." He murmured.
"I get really insecure at times. Especially when jealousy blinds me. I am sorry." He looked at me pleadingly.
"Jake jealousy and insecurity comes in every relationship. And we are no exceptions especially with our history but I just want you to trust me and believe in me. I wasn't able to tell you about Adam because it was not my place and I was helpless. In these situations I want nothing else but your trust in me." I said softly smiling at him.
He took my hand in both of his. "I know. I get it now. Seriously I do. Rissa, trust me when I say this. You are the person I trust the most in this whole world. It's just at times I need a little assurance I don't know why. But this doesn't justify the things I said and the way I treated you. And I feel so ashamed right now. I am sorry. Really."
"It's okay for what you feel Jake. Everybody requires assurance. And you especially because you had such a rocky past. I understand. But just believe what I say now. Okay." I took my coffee and took a sip of it.
"Okay." He gave me a smile and kissed me slowly.
After that the waitress arrived with our breakfast. We had delicious bagels and Jake even ordered some extra fries for me. That's my man ladies and gentlemen.
We ate properly and were on the road again. This time it was not awkward. We did our tradition in car. As soon as our favorite songs started coming up we took turns singing at the top of our voices, accompanying each other in the chorus.
I don't know where the rest of the journey went because I fell asleep after that.

I woke up to the sound and sight of waves. I was lying on a comfortable bed which was right in front of the windows which overlooked a beautiful beach and the vast ocean. I was tucked in the bed with the sheets upto my chest. I smiled at Jake's gesture.
I got up and stretched to look at the beach. I saw that the room had a balcony and walked into it.
It was bright outside. The sun was up in the sky blaring it's brightness making me cover my eyes. It was near noon probably.
We were on the ground floor. So the balcony directly led up to the beach.
It felt like a room from a hotel in Maldives or Bora Bora. Huge windows looking right into the ocean. I grinned at the sight. I love beaches.
I turned around to get out of the balcony and go looking for Jake.
I exited the room and gasped at the size of the beach house. It was not a beach house but probably a beach mansion. It was almost big as our house.
The beach house had two storeys and a lot of windows. I loved the vibe of this house.
I looked around for Jake but he was no where to be found until I heard some noises coming from the side of the beach house.
I was barefoot so I tip toed to the side of the house. The back door was open so I got out easily. As soon as I got out all I saw was the beach. I breathed in the salty air of the ocean.
A noise from my right made me turn to it.
A shirtless Jake was busy cleaning the jacuzzi. His back muscles tensed whenever he bent down to clean the floor of the jacuzzi. His arm muscles rippled whenever he moved.
Ugh.
How can he be so perfect.
Jake turned around and he passed me an amused glance.
"You woke up early. I thought you might sleep through lunch." Jake came forward and pressed a kiss on my parted lips.
"When did we reach here?" I asked as we pulled away from the kiss.
"Around 11. And it's 11 :30 right now."
"Oh."
"Your mom called." He said and my jaw dropped. I forgot to call her even once.
His eyes danced with amusement. "I told her that we reached safety and that you were sleeping."
"Oh thank goodness. What are you doing now?" I asked as I pointed at the jacuzzi.
