My body tingling, I guide the soft, silky designer dress over my head. Placing the straps delicately on my shoulders, I shudder at how much it must have cost, every single one of my movements careful and precise.

I'm sure it must have been like spending loose change to Grayson, but to me, it would probably be like spending at least four months salary.

I twirl loose curls in my hair, add some makeup and slip on some heels, gawping when the woman in the mirror is not one I recognise.

The short dress allows my legs to be on show, and the low-cut neckline and liquid-like, silk material does a great job of enhancing my slim yet curved figure. I twist in the mirror, and my heart crashes inside of me. I squirm at the anticipation of what tonight may bring.

Grayson has already proven that his dates are beyond incredible, and so I'm more than curious as to what he has planned tonight.

Simultaneously, I wonder why he suddenly changed his mind about me.

"Let me see! Let me see!" Hailey taps on my door, desperate to come inside.

"Come in," I tell her, my cheeks flushing.

When Hailey flies in, her mouth drops, her eyes looking me up and down five times over.

     "Holy shit, you look amazing!"

I bite my lip, unable to hide my smile. "Thanks."

"Well, if he isn't tapping that, then I sure will," Hailey teases, her fingers running down the silk.

     "Hailey!" I shriek.

Hailey shrugs. "Kidding! But, you know, there's no denying that you look so goddamn hot right now. That dude clearly has taste."

I giggle, but she's right; Grayson has pulled this one out of the bag.

"Where did he get this from?" Hailey asks, eyeing up the label inside the back.

"I don't know, I didn't recognise the brand. I know it would have cost a bomb though. Grayson doesn't do things by half."

"Ugh, I'm so jealous," Hailey scoffs, sitting at the edge of my bed. "You are one lucky girl."

Spraying perfume onto my neck, I agree. I am lucky. In fact, I'm so lucky that I don't even know what I did to deserve it.

"What's the time?" I ask, my voice painted with nerves.

"Seven-fifty."

Crap.

Taking my bag from the wardrobe, I stuff my phone and purse inside, grabbing my packed overnight bag and running my brush through my hair one last time.
