I awake to the tranquil sound of Grayson's sleepy breathing, the early morning light seeping through the curtains. I smile softly, watching my perfect boyfriend next to me. I watch how he sleeps peacefully as though he hasn't a worry in the world.
As I run my fingers gently over his chain, my body stirs with gooey feelings of love and affection.
I know Grayson and I haven't been together long, or known each other long for that matter, but I really do love him. And sometimes, it isn't always about time. Everything about him makes my being weak; his tormenting eyes, his dark but beautifully crafted hair and stubble, his flawless body, but most of all his confident, humorous, but intensely caring personality that never fails to uplift me, even on the worst of days.
Placing a soft kiss onto Grayson's cheek, I quietly pad into the enormous bathroom and turn the shower on. As much as I could lay in bed with Grayson all day, I need to get ready before we check out.
The powerful water feels incredible as it swallows my body. Tired and still reeling from last night, I rest my head against the tiles.
A smile creeps across my face as I recall last night; how Grayson and I danced together, how he proudly introduced me to his family and friends, and how we made love—and it was exactly that: the perfect way to confirm our feelings to one another.
My head submerged under the running water, a pair of large arms creep around my waist, linking together at the front of my stomach. The small smile that already decorated my face turns into a beaming grin.
Turning, I face a naked Grayson.
"Hey, darlin'," he murmurs, touching his soft lips to mine, the water cocooning his toned body.
My shoulders relax. "Hey." I rest my head against his firm chest, allowing the hot water to spray across us both.
As I lean myself against him, his large hands graze my upper back. Tenderly, he places kisses on my forehead, the water from his lips seeping down my cheeks.
Dazed and composed, my arms snake over Grayson's shoulders.
"I wish last night didn't have to end," I say.
"Me too," Grayson sighs, water droplets bouncing against his smooth body. "Thank you for coming with me."
I look up to him. "I wouldn't have missed it for the world."
Returning to the bedroom, I dry myself off with a towel, pull on my blue jeans and smile as I withdraw Grayson's hoodie from my bag. I only just realise that our bags were dropped here last night; I'm not used to this high standard of service.
I draw the hoodie close to my face and inhale Grayson's sweet scent that still faintly lines the fabric. When I pull it over my head, I smile when the large garment almost drowns me.
