"Mia, what the hell are you talking about?"

Shit. I've dug myself a hole here.

"Sorry," I whisper, taking a deeper than usual breath. "I saw a message appear on your phone that morning. I didn't mean to read it. I'm sorry. It was just...there."

Grayson's eyes search mine, his eyebrows pulled together. His expression is unreadable. With a huge sigh, he says, "Jeez, Mia. Is that what all of this is about? You think I'm seeing someone else?"

I look to the floor, my head a whirlwind of confusion.

"I don't know," I mumble. "Maybe."

Grayson steps back, his hand swiping through his hair with frustration. "That was nothing," he says firmly. "I met a friend, okay? No girls, nothing. I'm not some sort of player."

Oddly, I feel relieved. Though I think it's mainly down to the fact that I've finally told him the truth about how I looked at his phone.

At least that guilt can't hang over me any longer.

"Damn, baby, you're infuriating," Grayson says, his head shaking and tongue between his teeth. "You're stupid, you know that?"

My shoulders shrug, but deep down I know he's right. I know it was stupid of me to look too deeply into this. Besides, Grayson isn't my boyfriend. What place is it for me to question who he sees?

Grayson moves back to me, his forehead pressing to mine, his heated breath bouncing off of my skin.

"That's it now, baby," he says, his voice like silk. "No more games. No more guessing. I like you Mia. I really like you. I don't want to go another two, three, however many weeks without seeing you or hearing from you. Okay?"

I blush, Grayson's words reverberating inside of my body, sending my cells into meltdown.

"I like you too," I say, my sheepish lips growing into a smile as harsh beats of music to continue to shake at the walls.

With a smile, Grayson ducks his head, his tongue pushing into my mouth.

It's crazy how much I miss this. Everytime we're away from each other all I crave is his lips on mine, and when it happens, it's nothing short of amazing.

His kisses are harder today. Harder, but more passionate, more loving and more meaningful. With my hand to his neck, I push back harder too, my lips searching Grayson's like there's something to be found in his mouth.

I've missed it. I've missed the taste of him.

Panting, Grayson's lips peel away from mine, and his hand curves around my chin, his fingers holding my head in place. "So this is it, okay?" Grayson says, his face serious. "Me and you. Huh?"
