     "Well well

"Well well. Look at you lovebirds."

Rubbing my eyes, the daylight seeping through the curtains, I'm surprised to see Hailey at the doorway, her hand on her hip and her smile teasing.

Next to me, Grayson's sleeping body is lay peacefully. His torso is exposed, his large arm across my stomach. His breathing is soft and regular, and I smile.

Light rain drizzles outside, and I can sense the coldness of the air that hums against the window. In truth, it only makes me want to mould myself into Grayson more than I already am.

Pulling the duvet up, I eye Hailey, very aware that she wants nothing more than to wind me up right now.

"Good morning," I say quietly, not moving from the bed. Given how Hailey is already fully dressed and ready, I can only assume she isn't full of hangover today.

I don't remember falling asleep last night, but my skirt now lays on the floor amongst the rest of our clothes that are sprawled about the room, much to Hailey's amusement.

"Well, it's good to see you both had a fun time last night," she teases.

Grayson stirs next to me, a grin growing across his tired face. "The best time. Thank you Hailey."

I eye Grayson, then Hailey, my eyebrows furrowed. "What's going on?" I ask, not understanding the joke between the two of them.

Hailey giggles. "I invited him here Mia," she says, proud of her actions.  "I knew you wanted to see him again, and you're too stubborn to do it, so I invited him. And look at how it worked out!"

I roll my eyes, my brain in disbelief at the role of Cupid that Hailey has taken upon herself to play.

I did wonder how Grayson knew about the party, but deep down, I can't lie; I'm glad she did invite him.

"Anyway," Hailey chirps, bored of our sleepiness. "I'm off to the shops, you guys want anything?"

"No thank you," I say, my voice groggy. "Did everyone leave?"

"Yes, everyone left last night," Hailey tells me. "I kicked them out. So don't worry. You have the house to yourselves."

With a wink, Hailey closes the door, flying down the stairs and out into the rain. Simultaneously, my head flops to Grayson's pectoral.

I let out a breath. "Sorry about her," I chuckle, bringing my hand to his tattoo, drawing the numbers with my fingertip.

Grayson brings his lips to my forehead, exhaling as his long arms wrap around me. "Hey," he groans. "If it wasn't for Hailey, I wouldn't be here right now."

I purse my lips together, turning to view his playful, gorgeous yet dark eyes that are looking back at me. How did I get so lucky that this perfect being is now mine?
