Chapter 6

HELVRIC'S POV

Laques and I decided to go to our usual bar after I finish my work in our company. I asked my brother to come but he rejected me. Saying, he's already a husband and a father.

"I think you should marry too," sabi ni Laques pagkababa niya sa sasakyan.

"Tsk. Just shut up," sabi ko sa kaniya at tinawanan lang kayo. Pumasok na kami sa loob ng bar at kumuha ng VIP ROOM. As we walk inside, the smell of the liquor, together with the blaring music, welcome us.

"Oh, look at that girl who grinds so well," komento ni Laques sa babaeng marahan na pinapaikot ang beywang sa stage.

"E table mo," sabi ko sa kaniya at naunang pumasok sa silid.

"You're acting innocent, dude. You're a playboy like me," sabi niya saka umupo.

"I was," tipid kong sabi sa kaniya at binuhusan ng alak ang baso ko. Dumating ang waitress at umorder kami ng pulutan.

"I know. No'ng naging kayo ni Dianice, you became a good and a loyal boyfriend like a dog. When you guys broke up, you went wild again; dating every girls kapag natipuhan mo. Then suddenly, you met Fenice, who's now your sister-in-law," he snickered, "nagbago ka na naman."

"You were so broken and keep on whining in front of me when you found out that she loves your brother. Umalis ka sa Philippines and stayed there for three years," sabi niya saka ininom ang alak na binuhos ko sa baso niya kanina habang nagsasalita siya.

"I went there to move on," sabi ko sa kaniya. Dumating na ang waitress at isa-isang nilapag ang mga pagkaing inorder namin. Mayamaya ay lumabas na siya.

"But you had a one night stand there," sabi niya sa akin kaya napatitig ako sa kaniya. Umusog siya papalapit sa akin.

"Tell me, you still can't forget that girl?" tanong niya sa akin.

I swallowed hard and avoided his gaze. "I can't," pag-amin ko.

He let out a heavy sigh then shook his head. "Oh, man. She must be really good, ha?" he cackled.

"Honestly, that night, it always flashes in my mind. I was so drunk that time. Hindi ko naaalala ang mukha niya. I don't know her voice too, only her soft moans. I just can't forget it kasi sa kaniya ko una binigay ang aking sarili. You know, I dated girls but I don't sex with them. And I feel very comfortable with her. The pleasure I felt that night with her, hindi ko nakakalimutan," paglalahad ko.

"Bro, payong kaibigan lang, no? Kalimutan mo na. Maybe she's just one of the girl in the bar who's having fun. Baka nga nakalimutan na niya 'yon," sabi niya sa akin.

"I don't know. Until now, It's still bothering me. My body is looking for her, but... you're right. I have to forget it," pagsang-ayon ko sa kaniya.

"By the way, you told me about our new model, Reina? Did you just said she confessed?" tanong ni Laques. Iinom na sana ako ngunit no'ng tinanong niya ako ay naibaba ko ang baso at inilapag sa mesa.

Nawala saglit sa aking isipan ang pag-amin ng pinsan ni Fenice sa akin.

"Yeah. She did," sagot ko saka uminom ng alak. "Did you know that she's too confident and a very straightforward woman who said that I'll fall in love with her someday. Magiging girlfriend ko raw siya," natatawang sabi ko.

"Pinsan siya ng sister-in-law mo, diba?" tanong niya at tumango lang ako.

"Damn. They sure have a good genes, ha? Pareho silang maganda," pagpuri niya. "Sure ka na wala kang interes sa kaniya?"

Umiling ako. "Wala. I treat her as a friend. I will never like her though," sabi ko.

Laques looks at me suspiciously.
"Are you sure about that? What do you feel when she confessed?" tanong niya sa akin.

I leaned on the sofa while rubbing my chin. "She left me speechless," panimula ko, "because of how confident she is. She's vocal, sinasabi niya kung ano ang gusto niyang sabihin at kung ano ang nararamdaman niya."

"Are you interested on her, Laques?" Kumunot ang noo ko habang hinihintay siyang sumagot.

He just shrugged with a goofy smile plastered on his face. I just laughed at him and throw some nuts on his face. "Lunatic! I'm sure you're interested," I said.

"I'm interested because I'm interested," he said then winked at me.

"How foolish," sabi ko sa kaniya.

"You aren't interested of her, am I right?" tanong niya at umiling lang ako.

"She's just a friend and a co-model," sabi ko sa kaniya.

"Okay! So, I can like her," he cheerfully said while lifting his glass in the air. "Cheers?"

Inangat ko ang baso ko at nagtoss kaming dalawa saka sabay na ininom ang alak.

I'm in my condo unit. Laques drove me here because I'm a little bit tipsy. I removed my jacket and tossed it away.

Ibinagsak ko ang aking sarili sa kama na nakadapa. I groaned and lay on the bed properly while staring at the ceiling. Ginawa kong unan ang aking kaliwang braso habang nasa ibabaw naman ng aking noo ang kanang braso ko. Huminga ako ng malalim kasabay ng pagpikit sa aking mga mata.
