"Looks like the boss sent us a real good catch, didn't he?" Kija felt the thugs arm sharpen into a blade, he held it to her neck as another dozen or so watched. Their sadistic looks made Kija forget her memories and brought her back to reality.
No more trembling like she was a scared child. No more being too afraid to fight back. No more submission. Her dad could go to hell, and she'd put him there personally if she had to.
"Tch, you think I'm a catch? What idiots." She snarled. Kija heard the guy growl, the others gave her death glares. They were readying their Quirks too.
Gotta get a chance to move else this won't end well.
The suppressor still restricted her Quirk. She hadn't gotten a good look at it when it latched onto her wrist, but it dug into her skin with a purpose. And no chance Kija could use her Quirk with it on her.
"Idiot?! Well, how 'bout we give that face of yours a pretty little scar and see what you call us then!" Both the thug's arms turned to blades and he reared them above his head, ready to cut Kija in two. Kija rolled to the side as the thug swung his arms down.
"Hey! What the hell—" A villain tried to tackle her to the ground as Kija back flipped over him, she ducked and grabbed their legs as they soared over her. She swiveled and threw them into a group of villains standing oh so perfectly together.
They clattered to the ground. Kija jumped to avoid a crawling villain and she punched him square in the jaw when he tried to stand up. He fell to the ground with a loud thud.
"You bitch!"
Kija ducked as a clump of hair shot her way. She dashed over and tackled the villain to the ground, elbowing him so he lurched over. More villains came for her one after the other. Kija dodged and attacked, flooring all of them within a few minutes.
She stepped over the last of them and clawed at the suppressor, it was a black-market module she'd heard of. Having only seen it in pictures, she'd read it had lasting effects after you took it off. Making it harder to use your Quirk.
It'd been outlawed for being too unethical ages ago, since it could still hinder a person's rights after they'd been freed, but it seemed it was still being made and sold. Kija tried to use her Quirk again but to no avail. She grimaced at the thought that she wouldn't be able to operate at full power when it came off either.
That could hold her back in battle when she needed it most.
She looked back at the room full of unconscious and out of commission villains. There were a little over a dozen of them, but they'd all been at basic levels of fighting. Nothing truly villainous.
But even though it'd been relatively easy for her—quirk-less too—they had a chance of overpowering the first years if those kids weren't careful.
Kija hopped they were still safe with Thirteen.
Footsteps echoed outside the room, Kija assumed she'd been teleported into a zone to be dealt with. It sounded like more villains were coming. Kija perched herself out a window, no one was on the streets below, so she was clear.
She swung herself out of the building as the door opened. Kija heard the villains curse when they saw she wasn't there. The door slammed shut and Kija breathed a sigh of relief. She made her way along the outside wall, jumping from ledge to ledge.
If I was teleported here, they must be confidant this suppressor won't come off or fail. Will they not bother with me then? Did they just want to minimize me while they went after everyone else? And what do they want anyway? Chances are...it's to kill some of us.
