Kija stayed silent. Her eyes stayed downcast as she and the rest of the third years made their way to the center of the field, the cheers shaking the very ground but none reaching Kija's ears. Now wasn't the time to think about her talk with Endeavor and what she'd heard from Todoroki. Or what his dad might do later because of what she'd said. If she could just do something after the sports festival, that was enough.

Those that stand by and do nothing to stop an abuser are also responsible.

Kija clenched her fists, as soon as she could get Todoroki alone, she'd talk to him about it. That was a promise.

Cheers quieted when Nezu spoke, going through the student pledge quickly to get to the actual game. It wasn't a secret the principle loved watching the students fight it out. Whether to see their progress or because it entertained him, no one knew.

Nezu beamed down at the third years, "Today you all will be competing in your last Sports Festival, so let's jump right into the action! And remember, every one of you has the potential to climb your way to the top and claim first place! So, what will your first challenge be? See for yourself!"

Nezu held out his arm to the giant monitor behind him. A slot machine thing playing on it. The games were all predetermined of course, you couldn't prepare for ten insane obstacles to only use one of them. But only the principle and a select few of the UA staff knew the games, so it was pointless to try and bribe your teacher for intel.

Thoughts spun through Kija's head despite the energy around her. She needed to focus on the games. Fretting over what she'd heard before wouldn't do any good. She'd get to Todoroki right after her events ended and clarify any abuse that happened, there wouldn't be any time for Endeavor to do anything between now and then.

Besides, she needed to focus on the competition.

The slot machine thing stopped, landing on an icon and spelling out in big letters across the top of the screen: Scavenger Hunt! Kija frowned, this wouldn't be a normal scavenger hunt. No, UA went big or it went home. Would there be robots? Tidal waves? Dare say, lava?

Nezu smiled, "A Scavenger Hunt! But don't be fooled, this is no ordinary scavenger hunt. This arena will be transformed into a zone filled with a variety of terrains. You all will compete individually to race to the middle of the field and return to the boarder with one of these strips of cloth!" The principle held up a piece of fabric with the word 'pass' on it.

"Find one of these and return to the edge of the arena, and you will pass! But be warned, there are only a set number in the middle. Each one only counts for one person to pass, so grab one as fast as you can!"

...I think they've given up trying to make it hard for me to use my Quirk.

"But that's not all!" The students looked up at the principle, awaiting what this year's twist will be. "There are surprises littered throughout the area, so watch out."

Nezu's smile contradicted the glint in his eyes and a shiver passed through the air.

Cheers erupted from the stands and people's nerves finally started to show. Whatever surprises UA had set up for them, Kija would bet anything the cloths in the middle would be guarded. Still, it wouldn't be much of a problem for Kija. As soon as she got her hands on a pass, she could just teleport herself right to the edge of the arena.

"And keep in mind," The principle adopted a gleeful grin, "There's no rule about taking a pass from someone else!" The students tensed and the crowd went wild, gobbling up the hype.
