Paying attention to the Cavalry Battle proved harder than Kija thought. Enough Quirks, fights, and point snatching was happening that Present Mic's voice became lost in the crowd's roars. After All Might had excused himself back to the teachers box Kija'd been flipping from battle to battle trying to keep up.

Of course, it was hilarious watching the shock on everyone's faces as they realized 1-B had taken the majority of the top spots. And that one blond kid seemed to be having a blast annoying Bakugo. Taunting him like some child waving a steak in front of an angry chihuahua.

"Attack while they're monologuing, idiots," Kija muttered.

Then action picked up with Todoroki and Midoriya's team. It still surprised Kija when she'd looked back to see Iida hadn't joined Midoriya and Uraraka on their team. He'd strategized instead of blindly joining his friends, so that was good.

Over halfway into the event, Midoriya's team got backed into a corner by Todoroki's ice, the mini arena he'd constructed secluding the two teams from the rest of the fight. Dark Shadow came out to defend Midoriya's headband, and the team moved so they avoided Todoroki's right side. Kija narrowed her eyes, why wasn't Todoroki using his fire? Was it weaker than he needed? Did it burn him like how he got frost bite from his right side? Now that she thought about it, he hadn't used his fire at the USJ either.

Whatever the reason, Iida made up for it.

A revving sound reached Kija's ears and Iida blasted across the field, faster than the eye could see, leaving a trail of smoke in his wake. Kija smiled.

You were hiding that one for safe keeping, weren't cha?

Todoroki's team now held the most points and jumped into first place. Midoriya's team charged for the million-point headband, the two teams collided, and a burst of red came from Todoroki's left arm. Energy crackled around him and Midoriya, light flashing and obscuring Kija's view.

"Finally brought out his fire huh. Wait, was that Midoriya trying to break his arm again?" Kija stared in disbelief at the boy, not listening to whatever Mic was yelling in the booth or how the crowd was responding to the show of power. Midoriya barely acknowledged using his Quirk as Bakugo blasted into the ice field, dramatically falling flat on his face as time was called.

Rankings were fired off, the majority of those passing coming from class 1-A. Even as Midoriya's team was called in fourth place and an ungodly amount of tears sprouted from Midoriya's eyes like Old Faithful on steroids, Kija already had her face in her hands.

They are...idiots. And they're my idiots.

As the stadium emptied with people heading off to get lunch, Kija sighed and warped herself to the girls changing room, intending on catching up with her underclassmen before having to leave for her own Sports festival. She walked through her portal to find the changing room empty.

"Must've left already," She muttered, moving to leave through the normal exit.

Her footsteps stayed silent against the ground as she walked, making it sound like she wasn't here. Then familiar voices drifted into her ears and Kija slowed her pace.

"In that moment I was the only one who could sense your true power."

Kija stopped, watching as Bakugo gave her a passing glance from across the opening to the outside. Todoroki was talking to someone, and Kija stayed rooted in place. Giving a small nod and then leaning against the wall to listen better, Kija stayed quiet. She didn't like eavesdropping, but something wasn't right about Todoroki's tone.

Todoroki kept talking, unaware of the two extra people listening in, "It reminded me of something. Experiencing All Might's Quirk."

Midoriya's voice quivered, "Oh, yeah? Okay...is that all?" Kija's eyes narrowed, this was about the declaration of war, wasn't it?
