A/N: So sorry how late this is, all my writing/revising/editing time got taken up so fast I couldn't get anything out when I wanted to. I hope to have the next chapter out much sooner next time. Thank you for waiting!

Kija ignored Togata's pencil tapping against the desk, like an external clock ticking away the seconds until their midterms. Nejire and Amajiki didn't seem bothered, both still at work on their studying, and Kija wouldn't be if she hadn't first noticed the tapping.

With less than a week before midterms, every UA student could be found cramming. At school, at home, and any place with enough desk space to hold their things.

The cramming had started weighing on everyone, and Kija had been tempted to make an excuse about checking on the first years just for a break. But she'd have to go to their classroom if she said that and seeing Bakugo wasn't something Kija felt like doing.

It'd been easier to avoid him, run away from the problem long enough and it wouldn't be her problem anymore. Even though she'd caused this by asking to expel him.

Kija sighed, knowing her sudden absence after midterms would only trigger Bakugo more.

She grumbled to herself and kept staring at the history review in front of her. The cramming had distracted her from Bakugo, but it would go away by the end of next week and Kija wouldn't have an excuse to avoid him after that.

A pencil tapped on Kija's paper, and she looked up. Nejire smiled at her, a paper in her hand, "Could you check it? Please?"

She held out her hand, "Sure."

Nejire kicked her feet under the table while Kija read the English worksheet. Her eyes skimmed the page, once again glad she didn't have to worry about the English midterm.

"It's good," she said. Nejire's head popped up as Kija kept scanning the list of translations, "Number eight's the only one wrong."

"What? Where?" Nejire grabbed the paper, eyes darting between it and her textbook, muttering a thousand different questions to herself as she went. Her major form of studying. It sounded like a white noise machine propelled by a teenage girl.

Kija chuckled, "Eh, don't worry. You should be good on it. Now, I'm sure Togata—" The two girls looked over to the blond, only to find him face down on his papers, dead from the incomprehensible math problems he'd been attempting.

Amajiki poked him with his pencil's eraser, "He's out."

Nejire giggled as Kija rolled her eyes. The after-school bell rung and Snipe told everyone to pack up, the study hour finished. Kija helped Amajiki push the desks back in place, startling Togata in the process.

Togata's bright smile illuminated the room, "Over already? Man, time sure does fly!" He threw his stuff in his bag, eyes plenty bright.

"Yeah, if you get to take a nap." Kija threw her backpack over her shoulders and picked Amajiki's bag up off the floor.

Togata laughed, "Oh, c'mon! It was only the last couple of minutes."

"That is your personal best." Amajiki glanced at the ground, frowning. Kija handed him his bag, he stammered out a thank you and took it.

Togata pointed to his best friend, "See? I'm graphing better at it!"

Kija glared and shoved one of the desks at him. Togata jumped out of the way before the desk hit his knee. He smiled and tipped his hat at Kija, then started doing the Togata walk when they got into the hallway.
