Chapter 5 | I Guess We're Doing Karaoke

Kaminari's Pov.

  "It's not too hard of a question," Ashido went on, "Do you like Jiro?"

  'Do I... like Kyoka?'

  It was a question he never thought of... Did he? He never actually had feelings like this before... It was kinda confusing...

  "I'm... Not sure," Kaminari admitted.

  "How do you feel when you see that?" Ashido pointed at Kyoka and Sero, who were still talking.

  "Like I want to go over there and talk with them," Kaminari told her, "Or maybe break up the conversation entirely..."

  "It's called being jealous," Ashido said.

  "No... that can't be right..." Kaminari stood up.

  'I can't be jealous of their conversation...'

  "That's what it sounds like," Ashido shrugged.

  "I don't think that's what it is..." Kaminari lied.

  "Well, if you do like Jiro, I say you should impress her," Ashido suggested as he started to walk away, "I hear we're singing karaoke tonight!"

  He turned around.

  "Karaoke?" Kaminari questioned.

  "Yeah," she nodded, "You might be able to impress Jiro by singing."

  "I don't think I'm any good at singing..." Kaminari sighed. 

  "You never know if you don't try," Ashido encouraged him.

  "I guess you're right," Kaminari nodded, "Thanks Ashido."

  "And now I need to convince IzuOcha that karaoke is okay," she walked near them.

  They both walked over to see a wrestling match between Bakugo and Kirishima.

  They were both using their quirks, but then Bakugo let out a really big explosion and won the match.

  Then Bakugo pointed at Midoriya.

  "You're next you-" a beep rang out, "nerd."

  "R-Really?" Deku stuttered, "I-I don't think-"

  Another beep rang out, "sit down!" Bakugo yelled at him.

  They started the match and then Kaminari saw Ashido drag Uraraka away, but they soon came back, or more Ashido was pushing Uraraka toward the match wearing... that cheer uniform he and Mineta tricked the girls into wearing. He kinda felt bad about that now...

  A few people gave him looks, but then he said, "I'm not sure how that happened!"

  "Help me!" Uraraka tried to run away.

  Everyone turned towards her, but then a lot of them looked the other way.

  "What did Mina do to you?" Kyoka's eyebrows were scrunched in a frown when she saw Uraraka.

  "I happened!" Mina smiled warmly like nothing was wrong.

  "Ashido, where did you even get that?" Ojiro asked cautiously.

  "I did some digging through old clothes and while I was looking, I found this, which I thought would be one of the perfect outfits for Uraraka's dare," Mina said it like she was boasting.

  "One of them?" Kaminari asked, and then put his right hand under his chin.

  'That's really strange... I thought no one had those. Maybe I can get Kyoka to wear one... Wait, what am I thinking?'
