Chapter 61 | Comeback of the Century/Sero Actually Helps..?

Jiro's Pov.

  'I wish I could've just told him why I left... That would've made everything easier...'

  'What if he talks to me tomorrow? What am I going to say then?'

  "I wish I could've just undid everything..." she mumbled.

  "Me too," a voice said, "Maybe next time instead of going on a date with that idiot you'll go on a date with me."

  "No," Jiro told the voice, "It was my fault... Kaminari may be an idiot... But... He's my idiot..."

  The voice didn't say anything... And that was when she realized she wasn't just talking to herself! Someone was actually there!

  She looked up to see Sero.

  "I know that you like Kaminari..." he continued, "But if he continues to break your heart, he's not worth it."

  "What do you mean?" Jiro asked, "After all, I was probably to one that broke his."

  "How?" Sero wondered.

  "I ran away from our date..." she sighed, "And it's not even his fault... Everything was perfect as it was..."

  "If you have a good reason for running away, he'll definitely forgive you," Sero told her, "Even if you just didn't like anything about it and you ran away he'd still forgive you."

  "I guess you're right..." Jiro stood up, "Thanks Sero."

  She started jogging away to find him.

  'Kaminari... Where are you?'

  She looked to her left. No Kaminari. She looked to her right. No Kaminari. She looked-

  Something impacted with her front really hard, making her fall back, and she waited for the impact, but it didn't come.

  "Sorry Kyoka..." a familiar voice sounded.

  She looked up. It was Kaminari.

  Their faces were a few inches apart, and his hands were on either side of her so that he didn't fall on top of her.

  He stood up quickly.

  "Are you okay?" he asked.

  She took his hand and he helped her up.

  "Yeah..." she nodded.

  That was when he embraced her. He was warm.

  "I'm glad," Kaminari whispered, "I didn't mean to hurt you."

  "No..." she mumbled, "I hurt you..."

  "Huh?" he pulled away and tilted his head to the side.

  "I ran away," she looked away guiltily. 

  "You probably had a good reason," Kaminari insisted.

  She didn't say anything for a moment. What was she supposed to say? "Villian Kaminari somehow managed to tell the future and the lake, sitting on the bench was where he tried to murder me by burning me"? 

  "You can tell me about it later,"Kaminari squeezed her hand.

  "Kaminari, where did the groceries go?" she realized.

  "I... forgot them on the bench..." he admitted, rubbing the back of his head, "But we can't go back there..."

  "I know that I ran away from the lake for a reason, but I didn't tell you about that until now," Jiro said.

  "You were running away from the lake?" Kaminari wondered aloud.

  "Yeah," she nodded.

  "I bumped into Ashido," Kaminari admitted, "She was watching us."

  "Yup!" Mina popped out of the bush, "Here's your groceries!"

  She shoved them in Kaminari's hands and disappeared into the bush.

Kaminari's Pov.

  "Mina!" Kyoka shouted, racing over to the bush and then searching through it, "I'm going to kill you!"

  She pushed the branches of the bush back for a while, but no Ashido.

  "Where did you go!?" Kyoka put her hands on her hips.

  'It'll be a mystery...'

  "Let's just pretend that she was never here and go back to the dorms," Kaminari put a hand on her shoulder, "We can go on another date later if you want."

  "Yeah... Maybe..." Kyoka agreed.

  'Did she say "Yeah, maybe" for another date, or did she say "Yeah" let's go back to the dorms and then "Maybe" we can go on another date..? Well, either way she didn't say no!'

  "Next time, no lake," Kaminari promised.

  "You better not take me back here..." she grumbled.

  "I won't," he too her hand and tugged it a little. Kyoka started walking with him.

  She didn't let go of his hand. It was nice.

  "We're going to a restaurant next time," Kyoka insisted.

  "Wherever you want," he smiled at her.

  "Do you want to know?" she paused, "Why I ran away?"

  "Only if you feel like saying it," Kaminari told her.

  "Well... That lake... Was the same place Villain Kaminari tried to murder me in my dream..." she confessed.

  He stopped walking.

  "Kyoka! Why didn't you tell me!?" he cried, "We would've gone the opposite direction if you told me!"

  "It's okay, I didn't tell you about it," Kyoka assured him.

  "We're going to get out of here right now and go back to the dorms, as far away as we can from that lake," Kaminari started speed walking.

  'I don't want to go back there ever again!'

  The guilt that rushed into him when he heard that was unbearable! That was so insensitive of him!

  They were walking back quickly.

  "The strangest thing happened," Kyoka started a conversation, "Sero actually talking me into finding you."

  "Huh, that is really strange," Kaminari felt a little confusion swirl in his head. 

  'Why would Sero do that?'

  But then another thought popped into his head.

  'How did Ashido know that Sero would be there? Maybe she didn't actually say that he would be, but she did say something like "Before Sero finds her".'

  "Ashido was talking me into finding you," he admitted, "I thought that you didn't want to see me."

  "Weird..." Kyoka trailed off.

  "She popped out of a bush and gave me a pep talk," Kaminari continued, "She was following us like she probably still is."

  "How does she do it?" Kyoka huffed.

  "Magic!" Ashido's voice sounded.

  Kyoka looked like she was about to stomp over to a bush, when he put his hand out.

  "Just ignore her," Kaminari told her.

  "Fine..." Kyoka crossed her arms, "But the next time I see her..."

  She didn't finish the sentence, but there was a fire burning in her eyes.

  They continued walking to the dorms.
