Chapter 12 | Spying

Jiro's Pov.

  They were sprinting to the group. How far were they?

  The gardens were really pretty and all, but they didn't have time for that!

  She didn't want to be stuck with this idiot for too long...

  "I forgot the way to the zoo..." Jiro admitted.

  "I'm pretty sure it was down this way," Kaminari pointed to an offshoot in the driveway, but it only lead to a pond! it was nice still though, there were ducks in it... And some flowers and a little waterfall...

  'Focus!'

  "It was definitely one of the paths," Kaminari sounded a little confused.

  "Yeah, but which one?" Jiro didn't want to be stuck with this idiot, "We need to find them soon or we'll be stuck on the property! What if we don't find a way out right away!? Maybe we should just head back to Momo's house and wait it out-"

  She felt a hand cover her mouth.

  She tried to say "Get your hand off my mouth idiot!" but was muffled.

  'Ugh! What is he doing!?'

  "One, be quiet, we can probably listen for them," Kaminari started, "Two, is it really that bad to be stuck with me?"

  "Okay, yes," Jiro responded to the two things Kaminari said respective to their order. 

  "Aw, really?" Kaminari sighed.

  She crouched to the ground and plugged her earphone jack in it.

  Jiro listened.

  She could hear squealing and giggling down...

  "This path," she pointed without looking.

  "Let's go!" Kaminari beckoned her and she started running with him down the path.

  She felt in her pocket and reached for her cloth before wiping the dirt off her earphone jack.

  Jiro put it back in her pocket and they finally got to the building.

  Kaminari opened the door for her and then they started walking.

  "Since we're spying on people, we better be quiet from here on out," Kaminari suggested, and she nodded.

  They walked past the jaguars and a bunch of other animals.

  Soon, they saw Ochaco and Midoriya, they were looking at the crocodiles. Midoriya was getting awfully close to the edge...

  She felt someone tug her shirt and pull her backward!

  Jiro held her earphone jack to the throat of the person behind her.

  "You were about to get us spotted! Jeeze!" Mina huffed quietly.

  They peered back to look at Midoriya and Ochaco.

  Midoriya was leaning on the railing... farther and farther... farther... he started falling!

  "Agh!" he yelped.

  Jiro was about to run over, she didn't want her classmate to get eaten! 

  But Mina stopped her.

  Luckily, Uraraka was there to use her quirk and make him float.

  Uraraka pulled him back.

  "Release," she put her hands together.
