Chapter 66 | Todoroki and Ashido Almost Wake Everyone Up

Kaminari's Pov.

  "Todoroki... Do you have Hanahaki?" Midoriya asked.

  Todoroki coughed into the trashcan and nodded his head.

  He stood up.

  "I've been trying to keep my coughing to a minimum during the day, but I've been coughing a lot at night," Todoroki told them, "That's also why the trash cans are changed every morning."

  "I didn't even notice that..." Kaminari admitted, "I don't think anyone did..."

  "I was counting on that," Todoroki nodded his head slightly.

  "I was wondering why the trashcans were always clean," Midoriya confessed, "But I didn't ask because I didn't think that it was that important..."

  "Why don't you just tell Yaoyorozu already?" Kaminari questioned.

  "Because I know that she would try to help and kiss me, but then I would die anyway, even more quickly," Todoroki reasoned.

  "Do you even remember when she whacked you with a broom?" Midoriya asked.

  'Yaoyorozu hit him with a broom? And what does that have to do with anything?'

  "No, when did that happen?" Kaminari questioned.

  "Oh, right, you weren't at Ashido's sleepover, were you?" Midoriya turned to him.

  "No I wasn't, but why did Yaoyorozu hit Todoroki with a broom?" Kaminari continued to question.

  "It was a dare," Midoriya replied.

  "Why would someone dare someone else to whack someone with a broom?" Kaminari wondered, "And what does that have to do with anything?"

  "The dare was specifically for everyone but Yayorozu to close their eyes, and Yaoyorozu had to whack her crush with a broom she created," Midoriya explained, "She whacked Todoroki."

  Kaminari turned back to Todoroki.

  He nodded his head.

  "But things change, especially if she knew that she has stalkers other than Mineta," Todoroki told them.

  "Wait a minute, Yayorozu has stalkers?" Kaminari was so confused.

  "Yes, and Ojiro too," Todoroki nodded his head.

  "How do you know this..?" Midoriya wondered uneasily.

  "I was walking around with Yaoyorozu and then I noticed people were following her. Hagakure told me about that when I told her and Ashido about this," Todoroki told them.

  "Todoroki... You're already past the point where you can't get the surgery..." Midoriya started, "Your only chance now is to confess."

  "The longer I live the better," Todoroki concluded, "But if I say something about this, then Yaoyorozu and I will both die sooner."

  Midoriya looked at him, saying "should we tell him"?

  Kaminari made his face read "I didn't know you could read faces!".

  But then Midoriya wore a puzzled expression, and he probably didn't even mean to say that.

  He shook his head at him instead. This wasn't their place to tell Todoroki, but they could do all they could to confess sooner.

  'Jeeze... Midoriya and I just took the temporary roles of Ashido and Hagakure...'

  "Just do it," Kaminari urged Todoroki, "You said it yourself: You would risk your life for Yaoyorozu. Just come out and say it to her! Midoriya did it. I did it."

  "This is different," Todoroki insisted, "Your life wasn't on the line."

Jiro's Pov.

  She woke up to the voices of Kaminari, Midoriya, and Todoroki.

  'What are they talking about..?'

  "What if you die without letting Yaoyorozu know how you feel about her?" Midoriya's vice became clearer.

  'Dying... What..? And why are they talking about Momo..?'

  Her head was mixed up and she was a little disoriented because of her grogginess, but she tried her best to listen.

  "Yeah, I have to agree with Midoriya," Kaminari's voice sounded, "You'll only regret it more in the long run."

  "The longer I can live and help Yaoyorozu the better," Todoroki spoke in an icy tone, "Stop trying to convince me and leave me alone already."

  She glanced over to where Mina was sleeping, knowing that she would disagree and then start shipping TodoMomo even more, but she wasn't there.

  "What about being a hero?" Midoriya started speaking again, "What about all the lives you could save? What about... What about proving your father wrong? There's still a whole career of being a hero ahead of us! Don't throw it away!"

  'What does proving his father wrong have to do with anything..? Wat does that even mean?'

  "Don't you dare speak about Endeavor," Todoroki hissed.

  "Todoroki, how many times have we talked about this?" Ashido was standing with her hands on her hips, "You need to kiss her before it's too late! Hanhaki is no laughing matter!"

  'Hanahaki!? Todoroki's... Going to die..?'

  "Yes... Yaoyorozu told me her favorite flower was the hibiscus flower..." Todoroki took a large petal out of his mouth and examined it, "It won't be long now until I'm coughing full flowers with the thorns."

  "Will you just confess already? I'm getting impatient and you're both going to die unless one of you says something," Mina sounded angry, "Think about Momo!"

  "It's not like you have these nightmares, much less about to die, so quit acting like you can even start to compare your situation to ours," Todoroki's glare was frigid.

  Mina stuck out her tongue at him.

  "Only if you stop being so dense!" she huffed.

  'I'm glad I stayed out of the situation...'

  She noticed that Momo was starting to stir because of all the yelling. Well... Everyone was...

  "I'm not dense," Todoroki hissed, "Stop acting like a six year old."

  "Well for your information, Kota is a six year old and he's really smart for his age!" Jiro could imagine Mina's crossed arms.

  "Come on guys, stop fighting," Kaminari tried, "You're going to wake-"

  "No one asked for your opinion," Todoroki spoke.

  Jiro couldn't take the fighting anymore and stood up.

  She marched over there and everyone glanced at her in surprise.

  "Actually, you are waking people up," Jiro defended Kaminari.

  "See?" Kaminari gestured at her.

  Todoroki shoved past all of them with an irritated look on his face.

  Everyone that was awake tried their best to fall asleep.
