Chapter 65 | Go to Sleep

Jiro's Pov.

  'IzuOcha's asleep... the game's probably going to end soon.'

  "Truth or dare Momo?" Mina asked.

  "Truth," Momo replied.

  "If you were going to die from a disease, which one do you think is the worst to die from and why?" Mina questioned.

  'Wow, I never would've expected that...'

  Mina was watching Todoroki for some reason. Even through his glares, her gaze was serious.

  'She's almost never serious about anything though... Why this time..?'

  "Hanahaki," Momo started, "It's just... So horrible..."

  Jiro noticed that Todoroki stiffened. 

  'Strange...'

  "It started by coughing a flower petal of your crush's favorite flower... If you have it... then it'll start slow... Just one petal. You may wonder how you got it or where it came from. You just don't pay any attention because it's only one, right? Well, as time goes on, you start to cough more and more at a time. That's when most people realize that it's Hanahaki. Next, you cough the full flower. As you cough more of the full flower, it stops again. You think it's gone but it's not... Because then it's the thorns. You cough blood for a little while but soon the petals come back and you cough blood with it too because the thorns are scratching your lungs and neck," Momo rubbed her neck with her hands, but Jiro wasn't sure if it was for affect or just because she was scared... "And that's the last chance you can get the surgery before the thorns grow so much you suffocate..." she paused, but then continued, "The-The surgery is one of only two ways you can stop the disease... But... If you get the surgery then all your feelings of love will disappear forever... And you'll never love again..." she paused again, "The only other way to stop the disease is if your crush kisses you with true feelings. If the kiss is not true, then you'll die right there within five minutes."

  They all just stared at her. That explanation was really long, but it was kind of terrifying... Imagine getting something like that... 

  "You've all probably heard that only females get it..." Momo continued, "But recent studies have just proved that though it's rare, males can in fact catch this... And it's even deadlier for them because their last chance to get the surgery is when the thorns first start to grow. Anytime after will be too long unless their crush kisses them. It also grows faster for them, and they could die within three weeks while females have at least two months. The bigger the flower, the faster it takes over."

  'I'm glad that I don't have this...'  

  She breathed out a sigh of relief when the lesson was over.

  "I'm going to sleep," Todoroki got up and walked to one of the couches.

  "I'm going to sleep too, ribbit," Tsu left the truth or dare circle.

  'The game's probably going to end soon if so many people are leaving... right?'

  She felt her eyes droop and she did her best to hold back a yawn.

Kaminari's Pov.

  "Can we switch back shirts early if we're ending the game?" Kaminari asked, Kyoka's shirt wasn't very comfortable for him to wear...  

  "Who said anything about ending the game?" Ashido responded with a question.

  "Ashido, it's a school night," Ojiro reasoned, "We should really sleep."

  "No!" she insisted.

  "Mina-" Yaoyorozu was cut off.

  "No," MIna cut her off, "Toru truth or dare?"'

  "Truth..." she sighed, "But I'm getting sleepy..."

  "Then use Ojiro's tail as a pillow after the truth," Mina instructed, "If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?"

  "To switch my quirk..." her tone was really sad...

  "Toru, why?" Mina pressed.

  "I want everyone to be able to see me," she confessed, "I want to know how I look... I don't even know how I look!"

  'That's actually really sad...'

  "I think you're unique because no one can see you," Ojiro comforted her, "If everyone could see you, then what would all that work on your sneak attacks be for?"

  "I guess you're right..." she mumbled sleepily after a yawn, "Goodnight..."

  She fell asleep on Ojiro's tail.

  Ojiro's face was dusted with blush.

  "Fine we can all go to sleep..." Ashido sighed after a yawn.

  "You all go to sleep," Kaminari told them, "I still need to swap back shirts with Kyoka-"

  She was already asleep.

  'Well I'm not going to keep wearing her shirt!'

  He took it off and carried the sleeping Kyoka to the couch.

  She looked so peaceful sleeping. 

  Kaminari left her there and put her shirt on the floor beside the piece of furniture.

  After leaving, he took a blanket and found a comfortable spot.

  He fell asleep.

  Kaminari had a nightmare that Kyoka was having a nightmare, but then he woke up.

  He was covered in sweat and when he brought his hand up, he realized it was trembling really bad.

  'I hope she's okay...'

  Kaminari shook his head around a little bit and then glanced over to Kyoka. She was still asleep peacefully.

  He sighed.  

  'Everything is okay... Everything is okay...'

  "You're up too?" Midoriya asked.

  Kaminari nodded his head in reply.

  "Villain Deku came back... He almost murdered Ochaco again..." Midoriya trailed off, "I just... Can't bare any more of this... Y'know?"

  "I don't even know how you and Uraraka are making it through it!" he exclaimed softly, "This has happened for longer with you and Uraraka, yet you are living through it like champs," Kaminari started, "Kyoka only had one nightmare and I was so scared... I can't imagine what you're going through..."

  They heard coughing coming from the other side of the room.

  They looked at each other and nodded before walking over there.

  Todoroki was coughing into the garbage bin..?

  "Are you okay..?" Midoriya asked him. He reached out a hand, but then hesitated when Todoroki started coughing more.

  "I'm fine..." Todoroki sputtered into the garbage can again, "Go away. Go back to sleep."

  There were red things in the trash can. Red sticky stuff was covering it. Wait... Were they... Flower petals..?
