Chapter 50 | The Girls Finally Get Some Sleep

Jiro's Pov.

  They walked through the doors of the common room.

  "Momo!" Uraraka shouted.

  She turned himself to see what was going on.

  Momo was on the ground, barely awake!

  "I'm sorry... Don't pay any attention to me..." she got up and looked like she was about to fall over again, but stumbled over to the couches with Todoroki's help, "It's getting harder for me to stay awake..."

  Jiro was feeling kinda sleepy herself. She yawned and stretched her arms a little.

  "Are you about to fall asleep?" Kaminari asked her.

  "No, idiot," she huffed.

  "Okay..." Kaminari sounded like her doubted her a little bit, but knew she would get really mad if he continued prodding. It was good for her that he didn't keep asking what was wrong, it would've been pretty annoying...

  Momo was laying on the couch sideways and Todoroki was sitting beside her, a worried glint in his eye though the rest of his visage remained emotionless.

  She realized everyone in the room (the rest of the class) was staring at them.

  "Is Yaoyorozu being dramatic, or did something happen?" Sero wondered aloud.

  'I can't believe him right now! Can't he tell something's wrong!?'

  "She's not being dramatic," Todoroki growled in a low voice, "Can't you tell just by looking at her that something happened? She sleep deprived!"

  "But... why?" Kirishima questioned.

  "You don't need to know," Todoroki snapped.

  Momo mumbled something, her eyelashes fluttering. TodoMomo were actually talking to each other, but they were so quiet you couldn't hear them...

  "Could all of you leave us alone for a little while?" Ochaco called to all of them, and they left. Well... Most of them.

  "Why the-" a beep rang out, "Do we have to leave!?" Bakugo cursed at them, but Kirishima was already dragging him away.

  "Momo, how are you feeling, ribbit?" Tsu questioned her friend.

  "Tired..." she admitted.

  Todoroki whispered something to Momo.

  "But I'm going to fall asleep at some point..." Momo looked like she was reasoning with him, "It might as well be while you're here..."

   That was when her eyelids fluttered to a close and she went limp. She was sleeping, not dead though!

  "What am I supposed to do now?" Todoroki sighed, not taking his eyes off of Momo, "I can't let her die..."

  "Waiting and watching is the best we can do," Midoriya looked away from them.

  "Well... the rest of us should get some sleep then," Ochaco stretched out on another couch.

   'Is that the best idea?'

  The rest of her female friends did the same.

  "Is this the best idea?" Midoriya ran over to Ochaco.

  "It's only a matter of time until we fall asleep anyway... Might as well while you're all here..." Uraraka started to fall asleep.

  Jiro was the only one standing up still.

  "Take this time to rest," Kaminari ordered her.

  "No," she insisted.

  "Then I'll..." Kaminari turned his gaze away to think, "Tickle you until you finally decide to fall asleep!"

  He started tickling her stomach and she fell over laughing.

  'I didn't think he was serious!'

  "Stop, stop! Okay fine!" Jiro conceded, and he stopped.

  Kaminari helped her up and she started to drift off to sleep with Kaminari sitting beside her.

Kaminari's Pov.

  Soon, all the girls were asleep and him, Midoriya, Todoroki, Ojiro, and Tokoyami were tasked with staying by their side to watch over them. Ashido was there too.

  "Why did you tickle Jiro?" Ojiro asked him.

  "Because she would be too stubborn to sleep otherwise," Kaminari reasoned, stroking Kyoka's head once before turning back to them.

  "But how did you know she wasn't going to get mad at you?" Midoriya questioned.

  "I didn't, but she doesn't get angry at me as often as before," he admitted.

  "You're just happy-go-lucky," Tokoyami commented.

  'I am not!'

  "Yeah... that kinda seemed like it was dumb luck..." Midoriya rubbed the back of his head.

  Kaminari sighed in defeat and tried to ignore the rest of what the others were saying. What was really important to him was that Kyoka was alive and well. Maybe she wasn't safe, but she was alive. He would do anything to fix this... If only he knew how...

  She seemed to be sleeping peacefully. He took out his phone and earbuds to play some music so he wasn't just sitting there.

  Kyoka was snoring lightly, looking peaceful. He just hoped Villain Kaminari wasn't haunting her dreams... It was so weird that there was a villain with his name just with the word "villain" in front of it... It made him feel like worms were squirming in his stomach and under his skin.

   An hour passed. He ate some soup. It was good.

  Another hour passed. He texted one of his friends that he hadn't talked to for a little while (a week or two).

  Another hour. He played a game on his phone.

  Another hour. He watched Kyoka to make extra sure she wasn't having a nightmare.

  Kyoka woke up.

  "Did something happen!? Is everything okay!?" she whisper-shouted.

  "Everything's fine," he assured her.

  "I had a nightmare," she sighed.

  'A nightmare!? Is she okay!?'

  Everyone that wasn't sleeping stared at her.

  "Oh! Not like that," she tried.

  Everyone sighed in relief.

  Her stomach rumbled.

  "I'll make you some soup," Kaminari started to get up.

  "I can make soup on my own!" she huffed, hurrying past him, "I'm not helpless!"

  "I never meant-" Kaminari didn't realize he was offending her all this time by trying to help...

  "Just leave me alone for a while, okay?" Kyoka ordered, and she definitely wouldn't take no for an answer.

  She stomped away and opened the cabinet door. A can of soup fell on her head and she picked it up off the ground.

  'How long is she just going to push me away?

  He turned his gaze to Midoriya, but he just shrugged.

  Kaminari sighed. It was going to be a long night...
