Chapter 10 | He Asked Her Out..?

Kaminari's Pov.

  "What do you mean?" Kaminari was a little confused.

  "You're just playing with her heart, even if she sees right through you, that's still such a horrible thing..." Ojiro trailed off, "Do you feel anything like that towards her?"

  Kaminari felt a little bit, only the slightest bit of blush cross his face. He wasn't completely sure why.

  "Er... I don't think so," Kaminari told them, but it almost felt like a lie... He still wasn't completely sure why...

  "Then why are you blushing?" Sero asked.

  "I'm... not sure..." Kaminari sighed.

  "Go talk to Ashido about it," Sero suggested.

  "That might end up being a mistake," Ojiro argued, "Just look at what happened to Midoriya and Uraraka."

  "In that case, I'll ask," Kaminari decided.

  "What's going on?" Kirishima jumped into the conversation.

  "I'm half sure that Kaminari has a crush on Jiro, but doesn't know it," Sero commented.

  "Really? I would've never seen that coming," Kirishima thought aloud.

  "I didn't either until you realize how he's been acting towards her lately," Sero went on.

  "Hold on," Kaminari stopped them, "We don't know for su-"

  "Go talk to Ashido," Sero instructed.

  "Fine..." Kaminari sighed and then he walked over to Ashido.

  She was talking to Hagakure.

  "What is it Kaminari?" Ashido noticed that he walked over.

  "I'm telling you, stop playing with Jiro's heart," Hagakure told him.

  "That's what I came here to talk about..." Kaminari sighed again.

  "What about it?" Ashido asked.

  "Sero thinks that I have a crush on her and I said that I didn't, so he sent me over here to get your expert opinion," he explained.

  "So it wasn't just me!" Ashido clapped her hands together.

  "What do you mean? You think that Kaminari actually has feelings for someone instead of just flirting with them for fun? It's unheard of!" Hagakure crossed her arms. Well, he didn't know for sure that she was crossing her arms... she might've been putting her hands on her hips.

  "Well, he did try to impress her multiple times and was jealous when Jiro was talking to Sero," Ashido looked at Hagakure.

  "Wait, really? I guess I never realized that," Hagakure said.

  "Wait a minute... I wouldn't say that I was jealous-" he was cut off.

  "How do you feel when you see that?" Ashido pointed behind her.

  Kaminari spun around to see Sero and Kyoka talking again.

  He forced himself to pull his gaze from them.

  "Jealous..." Kaminari admitted.

  "Yeah, you have a crush on her," Ashido had a glint of excitement in her eye, "Guess we're adding you to the ship list."

  'I... do..?'

  "Wait," Hagakure stopped her.

  "What?" Ashido asked.

  "Well... I'm just saying... What if Sero also has a crush on her?" she thought out loud.

  'Wait a minute... What if he does?'

  "You're right! We need to keep an open mind!" Ashido decided.

  Disappointment filled him.

  "But don't worry, I'm rooting for you Kaminari," she told him, "Now go interrupt their conversation."

  He nodded and walked away.

  "So Jiro... do you want to go on a date with me tomorrow night? Nothing official yet of course," he heard Sero's voice.

  'Did he... Please don't say yes Kyoka!'

  "Why not? I don't have anything better going on," Jiro answered.

Jiro's Pov. 

  "Why not? I don't have anything better going on," Jiro answered.

  "Wait, really!? I'll make some plans then!" Sero looked excited.

  "Tell me when and where," Jiro told him.

  'It'll be a good way to get my mind off Kaminari.'

  What was his deal anyway? He was talking to Mina and Toru a lot, probably flirting with them, so why was he still calling her by her first name? It made no sense... She wished that he would just tell her why, but he only said it was a secret the last time she asked.

  And there he was, looking a little... sad? Weird. Why couldn't he be a normal person for once?

  "Maybe we could go to a restaurant," Sero went on.

  "Yeah. sounds great," Jiro nodded, "Hey, do you mind if we don't tell anyone?"

  'If Mina and Toru find out... it'll be bad...'

  "Sure, that's fine," he nodded.

  She watched Kaminari go back to talking to Toru and Mina, they looked a little surprised, but was it weird that they weren't pushing him away at all? Wasn't he being annoying and perverted? Should she go over and see what's going on?

  Jiro walked over.

  "Where are you going?" Sero questioned.

  "I'm just trying to figure out why Mina and Toru aren't screaming at Kaminari," she continued walking over.

  "Er... why don't you just stay over here?" Sero was obviously trying to keep her from going over there... but why?

  "I'll be back soon enough," Jiro told him, still walking.

  She got over there.

  "I heard about your date with Sero," Toru looked at her.

  'Weird... I thought they would go crazy after hearing that...'

  "Yeah... no one was supposed to know about it... how did you guys find out?" Jiro watched Kaminari out of the corner of her her eye. He looked deep in thought. But still sad.

  "K- A little bird, told us" Mina told her.

  'Kaminari... that idiot!'

  "So why'd you do it? Why'd you tell them idiot?" Jiro crossed her arms and looked over to him.

  He didn't answer.

  "So you're ignoring me? I knew you were just trying to get my reaction this entire time..." Jiro turned to Mina and Toru, "But what I don't understand is why you guys are talking to this perverted idiot. He's not worth your time."

  "Jiro, that's enough," Mina told her.

  "What? I'm only asking," Jiro shrugged.

  "Maybe you should go back to planning with Sero," Toru started pushing her away.

  'Why are they acting weird?'

  "Okay," Jiro started walking back to Sero and Toru let go to go back to Mina and Kaminari.

  'Kaminari... that idiot... This is probably just an act to eventually ask them out...'

  "Ugh! What do I care anyway?" Jiro muttered under her breath.
