Chapter 51 | She Didn't Smile!

Kaminari's Pov.

  Kyoka sat next to him with the soup she made herself. Without his help. Even though he wanted to help.

  "What time is it?" she questioned him.

  "About twelve thirty at night, why?" Kaminari responded after checking his phone.

  "Were you up that long watching me?" Kyoka turned her head away.

  "Yeah," he nodded his head, "But I was also on my phone, so the time passed by quicker than if I didn't have it."

  A moment of silence passed.

  "How do you feel?" Kaminari asked.

  "Better than before," she confessed.

  "That's good," he smiled at her, "I want you to be alive and safe."

  She took a spoonful of her soup and blew on it.

  "It's not like I want to die either..." she sighed, "But until we find a way to stop this villain creature, we can't do anything to stop it."

  There was more silence.

  'Should I ask now? I don't want to keep everything silent...'

  "Have you decided?" he questioned, finally making up his mind.

  "About what?" she wondered aloud, taking another spoonful of soup.

  "Are you going to meet me at the cherry blossom tree tomorrow?" Kaminari rephrased the question.

  "Sure, It's not like I have anything better to do," Kyoka shrugged, and e felt happiness surge through him.

  "Thanks Kyoka," he smiled at her.

  She turned her head away from him.

  "Like I said, I've got nothing better to do," she repeated herself.

  That was when they heard the sound of someone crying.

  "Todoroki, hold her hand," Midoriya ordered Todoroki out of the blue.

  "Why is that necessary?" Todoroki questioned.

  "Hold her hand, hug her, say something comforting, I don't care! Just do something!" Midoriya was freaking out now, and he was really confused.

  Todoroki grasped Yaoyorozu's hand.

  "Will you explain why this helps the situation?" Todoroki gestured at his hand that was holding Yaoyorozu's.

  'Yeah... that would be really helpful...'

  "You see," Midoriya started, "For Uraraka's first few dreams, she would start crying and after I hugged her, held her hand, said something comforting, she would wake up unharmed. So if you want to keep her unscathed, keep holding her hand."

  Midoriya hesitated a little before stroking his girlfriend's hair.

  "I would even say something to her and she would be able to hear the most important words in her dreams..." he trailed off, turning back to them, "Say something to her."

  Todoroki whispered something to Yaoyorozu. No one else heard what he said though.

  A minute or two, Yaoyorozu woke up with a start, sitting up immediately.

  Tears were still streaming down her cheeks and she was trembling.

  "Yaoyorozu, are you okay?" Todoroki asked her, putting a hand on her shoulder.
