Chapter 30 | Jealousy

Jiro's Pov.

  Kaminari was still on his turn, but she noticed something...

  Was it weird he was watching her most of the time..? Or maybe it was easier to focus on something while he was wake boarding..? Jiro was just a little confused...

  After Kaminari did a jump, he was almost completely over on the other side! But then the wake board went back toward the center with the foamy stuff and did another jump!

  Kaminari probably really practiced to get this good at wake boarding! She shook her head around and looked away.

  That was when Kaminari did a signal to Sero, and he slowed to boat to a stop.

  "My turn!" Mina exclaimed as she jumped in the water and switched places with Sero.

  Jiro looked over to Toru. She was recording everything that was happening. Great.

  She didn't do any jumps, but still stood up and went over the wake. Soon, she fell over into the water though.

  "You should try," Kaminari poked her shoulder.

  "Why?" she asked.

  "I don't know," he shrugged.

  "Why not?" she sighed and then got up, "I probably won't get this chance again soon."

  Jiro put on a life jacket.

  After swimming out to where Mina was, she tied the laces to the sneakers attached to the wake board.

  That was when she put up a thumbs up like everyone else did and the boat started.

  Jiro held on tight to the rope and stood up! It was really cool! Well, for one second because then she fell off...

  She was a little dazed because she was pretty sure she fell in face first, but it was okay.

  The boat pulled up next to her and Kaminari helped her up.

  "Wow! You stood up on your first try!" he smiled at her.

  "Huh?" she looked at him, confused.

  "Well, it took my eleven times to stand up on a wake board the first time I went..." Kaminari rubbed the back of his head.

  "You take over," Sero instructed Kaminari as he jumped int he water.

  He shrugged and sat at the seat by the wheel.

  Jiro sat down and took her life jacket off.

  Soon the boat started.

  'I wonder how you drive the boat... it has to be easier than driving a car, right? Maybe Kaminar- Someone! Can teach me!'

  She blushed and turned away from everyone. A few minutes later, the boat stopped and drove around.

  "How did I do Toru?"Jiro heard Sero's voice.

  "Okay I guess..." she responded.

  "Mina?" Sero looked at her.

  She was studying her nails and pretending not to hear him.

  "Jir-" Sero was cut off.

  She felt someone sit next to her and then put their arm around her shoulder.

  'Kaminari!? That idiot!'

  But for some reason, she didn't move away...

  "Please go away," Jiro didn't make any move to get him away from him.
