Chapter 3

I sit on the grass sketching when I find the sun being blocked, looking up I find Annie.

"What are you sketching now?", Annie asks as she kneels down and peers over my paper curiously, I smile and turn it around for her to see better and say, "It's a pony" I make a silly face as Annie scans the silly drawing.

She sighs and pats my head, "Always childish Y/N, it brightens this place after expoditions", Annie sits down next to me.

I lean my head on her shoulder, after moments of silence Annie spoke up, "Would you ever want to leave these walls forever?", I look up at her questionably, she continues, "Would you ever come with me if you had a chance of freedom?", she asks, I sit and think but before I can answer Armin turns up.

"Hey Y/N, Annie, want to play a game with us?", he nods to Eren, Historia, Ymir, Jean, Reiner, Mikasa and the others.

"Sure! Just let me put away my sketch stuff", I smile jumping to my feet, Annie rolls her eyes and joins the others while I enter HQ.

~Y/N's Room~
I open my nightstand drawer and tuck the sketch pad in with my pencils.

Before I could leave a figure with black hair gives me a fright, it's none other than Levi.

He leans against the door frame with a bored expression, "Cadet, it's time to train", he says, I start to stutter, "O-okay! Just let me tell the others I can't participate in their game", I head for the door and Levi steps out of the way.

~Outside~
I told my comrades I couldn't participate for I had training, they seemed upset and a few of them groan in disappointment until Levi gives them an icy glare standing close behind me.

"How about you cadets get to work as well and stop wasting time playing childish games", Levi takes my arm and leads me away.

~Training~
I huff and puff from doing a bunch of exercise and find Levi watching me underneath a tree.

He chucks me a bottle of water but my clumsyness got the better of me and I drop the bottle with my butter fingers.

I whine and pick it up from the ground I heard a quiet chuckle I look up to find Levi with a 'really?' expression and the biggest gift of all a small smile from him.

I take a drink and put the bottle down, Levi approaches me and takes off his ascot tie and unbottons his shirt in front of me.

My face burns as hot as thousand fires, resembling the color of ruby, I feel a loss for breath as I stutter.

"C-corporal... W-what a-are you d-doing?", I ask, the flushing was too much to handle for me I hide my face in my hands.

Levi chucks his shirt on the ground and takes my hands away from my face, "Y/N, are you having dirty thoughts about your Corporal?", he asks finding my eyes to stare in with amusement.

I whine in embarresment like a child and look to the side, he gives another small smile and says, "You're too innocent Y/N, I was just getting ready to do my training" he lays a hand on my head when he passes me.

I shake my head feeling the red leave my face, I take a deep breath and relax but when I turn around and see Levi doing sit ups my eyes immediately find his abs and strong arms.

I spin around and walk towards the tree with my nose bleeding 'Oh no he's hoooot!', I can't help but stare.

Levi catches me and asks, "Y/N, why is an innocent girl like you doing here anyway? It isn't because you think you can change the world and kill titans like that Jeager brat is it?", he grunts now doing push ups.

"No, I'm not here because I want to change the world and kill all titans, I am here by force and not by force in a way", I say, Levi gives me a confused look waiting for more information.

I say, "My Dad always wanted me to become a soldier, he thinks it will toughen me up and stop being and I quote 'A wuss' , I of course didn't want to go", Levi nods waiting for me to continue, "Well... Erwin is good friends with my parents he didn't seem fond of the idea of me becoming a Survey Corp member neither was my mother",
"Erwin had originally signed me up for the Garrison but Dad tempered with his work and I ended up here", I finish, Levi got up and sat next to me.

Once he downed his water bottle he says through breaths, "So, your father is risking your life to toughen you up?", he asks unimpressed and disappointed in my father's actions.

I nod, he blows strands of his black hair out of his eyes he body covered in sweat.

I look the other way trying not to make eye contact embarrassed at what he might think of me staring at his exposed chest.

I jump in fright when he tucks strands of my hair behind my ear and says, "Your father sounds like a prick for putting you in mortal danger brat", his cold eyes bore into my E/C eyes.

He pulls back and says, "Go to your room and get some rest I have a feeling we will have an exposition tomorrow", he stands up, grabs his clothes from the ground and walks off without another word.

I stand and ready myself to leave, once I made my way to my room and switched off the lights Annie sat on her bed with a night light on reading.

"How was training?", she asks in a tired voice, I smile and say, "It was tiring but okay", I approach her and steal her book she looks up at me with a tired face, "Y/N, what are you doing?", she asks.

I smile sweetly and chuck her bed covers onto her lap, "Get to sleep you look tired Annie", she sighs and says, "Since when do I take orders from you?", I tuck her in and say, "Since now, the game you've played must've tired you, goodnight Annie", Annie groans until her body gives in to exhaustion and her eyes close.

I crawl into bed and drift to sleep wonder what will happen in tomorrow's expodition...
