Chapter 36

It's been hours...
The first woman is still working on the lock with her long finger nails and the male just rolls his eyes and smashes his blades on the prison bars until eventually one of his blades metal pieces snips off.

The second woman picks up the piece of metal and takes the first woman's place picklocking, the door pops open and I hug the three and say "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

I freeze and stutter "U-uh... Sorry, what do I call you three?" the first woman places a hand on her chest and says "I'm River, this is Lana and Rick" she points to the other woman and man. I nod and River leads me out of the prison.

I hear footsteps coming and it seems the three can hear it too. River, Lana and Rick shove me behind crates making me tumble over. I through the crack of two massive crates to see what's going on.

River salutes and says "C-Commander Pixis!" Pixis looks at the three who are trying to be tough.

Pixis asks "What are you doing with Y/N you three?" Rick scratches his arm awkwardly while they exchange looks, Pixis says "If you're going to get out of here go now, Y/N can escape through the main hall it leads straight to the enterence".

I appear from behind the boxes and hug Pixis "Thank you Sir!" he motions me to the hall and I make a run with the three.

[Hanji's POV]
Eren has been captured and taken to the underground Chapel. It has been a very long time since Levi managed to find us and our main priority now is to rescue Eren before he gets eaten.

"Shit.." I mutter under my breath as I see some of my comrades get shot by the OTMGear from our enemies.

Kenny is ripping fast across the crystal pillars towards us.

[Y/N's POV]
The three and I managed to escape the building but the three have lead me to this cave.

I stutter "W-what's down there?" Rick pats my back and says "That's where Eren will be, look out for a man named Rod Reiss though he's one creepy dude. We heard rumors that the Chapel is where the Survey Corps would be", I slowly nod, the three give me a bear hug saying their goodbyes.

I enter the cave and find its leading me deep underground, something about this place is unsettling.

[Levi's POV]
I shout as I slash into oen of Kenny's buddies with my blade. The sooner I save the brat the faster I'll get to rescue Y/N.

I pull back in mid air when I see one of the members charge at me, I get my blade ready before leaping off the side of a pillar.

[Y/N's POV]
I see a light. I quietly make my way towards it to find myself in a bright crystal covered place which I presume is the Chapel.

I see Eren tied up with chains. I was about to run to him till I saw an old man talking to Historia about something. I wait till he leaves...

After waiting some time when he disappears somewhere else I run over to Eren and hug him from behind tears streaming down my face.

Eren's voice is muffled by the metal stuck in him mouth. He sounds alarmed. I whisper worriedly "What happened?" I let go when he start moving frantically, I ask frightened "What is it?"

He nods his head to the enterence, I look over his shoulder to see Historia looking at us, she asks shocked "Y-Y/N what are you doing here!?" I say "More like what are you doing!?"

Historia takes a deep breath before letting it go, she says "I have to gain Eren's titan powers, it's the only way for me to make my father proud" I shake my head and say "You're willing to kill one of your friends just to make your father happy?" Historia stamps her foot and says "It's not like that it's complicated! You wouldn't understand".

I try to pull on Eren's chains but nothing happens no matter how hard I try. Eren stares at me as I try, Historia says "Y/N enough, it's not working, just give up" I reply "No! Eren has to live, he's the only one best experienced with titan shifting if he were to die then we would be stuck with someone as useless as me!"

I finally give up, I cry some more and hug Eren again, his head gently rests on mine. I say "You can't die, you're my friend! I care about you so much!"

[Eren's POV]
I really want to hug her and tell her it's okay but I'm kind of... Chained up at the moment.

I know she only sees me as a friend, but feeling her close to me feels so safe and comfortable.

[Y/N'S POV]
I hear people's footsteps and let go of Eren to see Rod Reiss, he's standing there with Kenny, they stare at me.

Rod Reiss seems surprised, he then says "We have a bigger opportunity" Kenny looks at Rod with a concerned look.

Kenny makes his way towards us and I step in his way when he's close to Eren. I growl "Leave Eren alone!" Kenny giggles to himself and pats my head making me confused.

He leans down to my eye level and whispers "Calm down Levi's girl, step out of the way" I shove him and say "No! Eren doesn't deserve to be eaten by a titan!"

Rod Reiss says from below, "Kenny, we have someone who has twice the power as a regular titan shifter now. Y/N and Eren's powers together in Historia will be stronger than anything imagined!"

Kenny looks from him to me, he's silent.

Kenny says "Levi has done many things behind your back over the years, he wasn't always the man you know now and I think behind your back he's done some worse things".
