Chapter 31

Levi and I made it to my house.

I knock and my mother opens the door, she seems happy to see me but her reaction is sad.

"Mum?", I ask in a worried tone, my mother hugs me tightly and says, "It's nice to see you honey, but your father and I are going through a rough patch", my eyes widen and I blurt, "What happened?"

"You see... Your father and I just got into an argument ever since you left, he can't get over the fact you're a titan shifter, he won't let it go", my mother says.

My voice cracks and I say, "He's still afraid of me, even when we tried to clear things up, he put on a fake face...", my mother finishes by saying, "Your father and I will be seperated for a very long time... Probably forever".

I almost fall to the ground before Levi catches me and hugs me tightly. Crying into his chest Mum invites us in to stay for the night.

That night, Dad wasn't home he was already packed and gone.

Jake didn't even bother to pick on me, he knew how I was feeling and felt the same way I was...hurt.

I lay in bed when I feel the mattress dip, raven black hair falls onto my cheek, an arm wraps around my tummy.

Levi whispers, "It's okay", that triggers the bottled up tears to fall making me gasp.

"Shhhh", he whispers into my neck hugging my body slightly tighter to him.

I turn over and bury myself into his strong chest and let my emotions poor out, he strokes my head with his free hand and kisses it.

He says, "I know what it's like to loose family, my mother passed away, my friends killed, my family gone except a long line of Ackerman. But you shouldn't let the past effect your entire future", I slowly look up at him he wipes my tears with his thumb.

Levi cracks a sympathetic smile and says, "Go to sleep, things will be better tomorrow", I lay back into his chest and fall asleep.

When I presume Levi is asleep beside me I slip out of his arms and put on his cloak.

I head for the Capitol of Wall Sina and to the district where Annie is kept.

Once I successfully snuck in for wearing a Survey Corps cloak to those who asked I find the cell.

Annie practically glows in the crystal, lighting up the room with a faded blueish white light.

"Hi Annie", I say, I sit beside her and say, "It's been a very long time since we talked... And you getting crystalized", I laugh nervously.

I run my hand on the crystal and my mind flashes to a vision.

Wall Maria. It's midnight. I burst out of my titan body. My eyes purplish E/C. I look clueless to what's happening. Annie starting to smile in the crystal with her eyes closed.

I snap back to reality, I gulp knowing what the vision was...

I know the reason Wall Maria keeps re-opening...
