Chapter 38

Once Eren is free from his crystal case we gather around him, Levi says "Now that is what I calm hardening" he points to Eren's titan form, Eren looks up at it and says "Where is Rod Reiss heading?" Historia replies "I don't know but it isn't good" I sit down and look at the blood that has sunken through my shirt and under my jacket.

I put my hand on it gently and Levi says "Y/n, you're not going to like this but I'm going to have to pull the bullet out so your wound doesn't get infected" I stare at him in shock and say "What!? That's going to be so sore!" Levi says "Do you want to die?" I shake my head in a 'no'.

Eren crawls over and holds one of my arms down, Mikasa does the same with my other arm, I start to panic, I blurt "N-no! This is going to hurt so much! I can't!" Historia holds down my leg and says "It's okay Y/n, this will be over and done with in seconds".

Levi unwraps my jacket and pulls up my shirt revealing the bullet wound in my waist, I gasp seeing it tears welling up, his fingers touch the outside of the wound and I wince and shout "Levi! I'm scared! Please stop!" Historia says "Shhhh... Y/n, it's okay, it's going to be over soon".

Levi gets one of his blades and cracks it against a stone creating shards on the floor, he takes a piece that's good enough and says "Okay, Y/n, the bullet is very close to your stomach, if you move I'll mess this up, I need you to hold still".

Eren, Mikasa and Historia hold me down with all their might and I struggle in fear, Levi holds my body down and says "Y/n! Stop!" the others try to calm me down but my entire attention is on Levi because he's the one trying to get the bullet out.

He holds me still, I look away tears pouring down my face. His small blade fragments he's using like tweezers goes inside the wound, I wince and Mikasa tries to calm me down.

Levi says after poking around in there for a bit "Okay, I've got the bullet, stay still Y/n" I force myself to stay still my eyes still forced shut.

He slowly pulls out the bullet and drops it in his hand, he sighs and says "Okay I've finished, your safe now" everyone let's go and I let go of a breath I've been holding, my eyes slowly open.

Historia pulls my shirt back down and ties the jacket back around it for pressure, Levi leans over me and shows me the bullet, he says "See, you're fine now, but when we get back you're going to need to see the medics" I stare at the bullet in his fingers, my blood on his hand and say "Thanks, but why are you still holding it?"

Levi chucks it across the floor and picks me up bridal style, he says "I don't want you moving much for a while not in this state anyway, so don't think about turning into a titan yet" I say weakly "Why would I want to".

We climb up to the surface, Armin grabs ahold of my hand while Levi puts his hands together to make a step for me.

Levi pushes my leg up while Amrin pulls the rest of me onto the grass. The horses and carts are ready for us to get onto.

Levi takes my arm gently and says "What do you think you're doing?" I reply "I'm getting onto the cart, isn't that what we are supposed to do?" Levi leads me over to his horse and says "You're riding with me so I can keep an eye on you" I turn around and look at the giant red thing crawling across the dirt, I then turn back to Levi and nod.

He helps me into the horse and sits behind me so if I fall he's got me. We start riding off, even though it's night I don't feel tired, in fact I'm energized to finish this.

Erwin approaches us on his horse and asks "Who is that titan?" Levi replies "Rod Reiss" Erwin looks shocked then he spots me covered in blood and asks "Is she alright?" Levi puts his cheek against mine and says "She's fine, I took the bullet out of her but she will need a medic soon. Do you know where that titan is headed?"

Erwin replies "The titan is heading towards Orvud District, I want all of you to get to Wall Sina", Levi raises an eyebrow and says "Are you really going to let that big ass crawl up Wall Sina, the wall won't stand a chance" Erwin replies "We will have a plan by then".

Eren speaks up "If Rod Reiss eats me then he will return normal again" Levi asks "Are you really willing to do that?" Eren nods and says "Yes" Mikasa growls "Eren! You can't do that!"

Historia raises her hand and says "Eren's father had no choice but to kill the Reiss siblings, but... He was trying to save humanity so he gave his power to Eren when he ate him. However if Eren does give back those powers to my father it doesn't mean he will be free from his brain washing".

Armin speaks up "That's true, and Dr. Jeager wouldn't do anything without a reason" Eren looks at me and I look back at him, Levi says "So why was
Y/n turned into a titan? Chris and Jeanette?" Historia says "Chris and Jeanette were after the same goal to protect humanity and they knew Eren couldn't do it alone so they injected
Y/n as well".

I look at Historia and say "Then why did they beat up my father?" Levi replies "Because your father is a different kind of threat, he hates and fears titans, if he sees a titan he will either kill it or make its life a living hell" Hanji says "When Leon, your father Y/n was a Captain he tortured titans we captured and it got stuck in his head that every titan should be tortured and it's sad to say but your father attempted to torture you".

Erwin says "Leon made his move when you got in trouble with the king, even if you weren't his daughter he still would have made your life hell", I reply "Is that why you were always visiting our house Erwin?" he nods and says "I was always visiting because I was keeping an eye on you to make sure your father didn't do anything stupid when I got the report of you being a titan shifter".

We all fall silent as we ride.
