Chapter 18

~Back at HQ~
I jump out of the carriage with relief from the long ride and take a deep breath while stretching my arms.

"I would love to hang around more but unfortunately I have work to attend to, stay safe Cadet L/N", Erwin says walking off.

'Aaaand he's formal again', I kicks the ground lightly, a hand falls on my shoulder I turn my head to look behind me and see Levi.

"It was... An interesting experience with your family", he looks away as if he's embarrassed.

"Of course, remember my home is always open to you", I smile, he glares at me and let's my shoulder go, "As if I would be apart of a loud and irratating family", he growls making me laugh.

~Inside HQ~
I skip down the halls when Eren rushes up to me and grabs my shoulders, "Y/N! Finally I've got you", he says through puffs of breath.

I take his hands and gently pull them away but still keep them in mine, "What do you need?", I ask, he catches his breath and says, "Well I-", he pauses looking over my shoulder in fear.

I turn my head to find where the cold chill was coming from, it's Levi's glare...

'I forgot he was there to be honest', I thought.

"Levi, I-I mean Corporal, if you don't mind, may I speak to Eren in private?", I ask, Levi crosses his arms and walks off.

I turn my gaze back to Eren and smile, "Now that he's gone, what is it you need?", I ask politely, Eren squeezes my hands gently before he says, "Mikasa, Armin and I are having a picnic, I was wondering if you wanted to join".

I smile brightly and say, "Of course!".

~Outside~
Outside of HQ is where the picnic was held under Annie and I's tree which did well up some emotions in me but I brushed them away.

I took a bite out of my sandwich, Armin speaks up, "These sandwiches are so good!", he immediately took many bites out his happily.

Mikasa smiles then turns to Eren and asks, "Eren, Bertholt, Annie and Reiner were in on the plan to kill humanity right?", Eren cocks his head and drinks a bottle of water before he says, "Yeah and Bertholt disappeared with Reiner when Annie turned into a crystal... What's on your mind?".

Mikasa takes her chin in thought, "What if there are more humanity killers in HQ", she says.

Eren stands up raises his fist and yells, "Well I will just have to stop them!", I pull on his sleeve he looks down at me and I say, "Even if there is we don't know who they are".

He crouches in front of me and inspects me, I roll my eyes, "Its not me", I say poke his face.

He is inches from our noses touching, "I don't know... you can turn into a tantrum titan and do more damage than me", he pokes my cheek as pay back leaving his finger there, I huff like an angry little girl.

Suddenly Ymir and Historia arrived, "Hey guys!", Historia says cheerfully holding onto Ymir's arm.

I wave smiling, Historia says, "We came to tell you it's almost dinner", Eren whines, "But we just ate!", Armin furrows his brows and says, "I told you this was a bad idea", Mikasa agrees with Armin by nodding.

'I suppose its time to do what I need to do', I thought standing up, I stretch and say, "Well I best head to bed then!", and I was off after saying "Thank you for the picnic".

~(Eren's POV)~
I watch as Y/N leaves, before I head to my room back in HQ.

Once I've found my room I collapse on my bed remembering Y/N's friendship with Annie.

Not going to lie seeing how close Annie is with Y/N made me think of Ymir and Historia..

Annie is ereplacible to Y/N, they have known each other way before joining the Survey Corps and to be honest it kinda makes me jealous that Y/N was just so comfortable with Annie.

Then I remember Y/N's titan form.

Her H/C locks, her striking E/C eyes, the look of fear she had written all over her when I pinned her to the ground.

I grip the bed sheets feeling guilty for making her feel that way, when Annie was taken away from her she was in pain, you could see it.

But after a couple of days from then she didn't blame anyone for the situation that happened, she didn't blame me for pinning her down, she didn't blame anyone for Annie, she just carries on with life.

But what if I'm wrong.. What if there is someone she blames? No, Y/N can't be, she's happy now.

Is she?...
