Chapter 34

=Years ago (Nine Year Old, Y/N's POV)=

"Welcome Y/N to the Strohess District in Wall Sina, your new home!" my mother says taking her hands off my eyes revealing the simple house.

I hold onto my fathers sleeve and say "I love it" in my small voice. My brother Jake picks me up and puts me on his shoulders, my father smiles at us.

When we got inside I shake my brothers head to tell him to put me down. Jake puts me down laughing as I trip over my feet.

My father scoops me up and says "Where are you going little one?" I think for a moment then yelp "Annie!" My mother rolls her eyes and says "Sweetie you always go to see her".

"But I wanna see her!" I shout, my father messes up my hair with one hand and says "Maybe after dinner".

=After Dinner=
"Y/N!" my father laughs at my attempt to hide under my bed. He drag me out and picks me up, "I told you it's bed time for you" he says, I growl, "But I was going to see Annie!" he puts me in bed and kisses my forehead, "Tomorrow, it's too late tonight".

I jump up and my father sighs, I put my hands on my hips and say, "I want to join the Survey Corps just like Annie!" my father looks as though he had heard death ring it's bell, he grabs my shoulders and says "Y/N you never want to face those beasts of titans! They are disgusting! Horrible!"

My mother knocks on the door frame and says "Leon, it's time for bed, Y/N that means you need to sleep too" I stomp my foot on the bed and say "I don't want to go to bed I want to see Annie!" my mother smiles and says "But if you don't get enough sleep you won't have enough energy to see Aunty Jeanette and Uncle Chris and I know how much you love them".

My father crosses his arms and growls, "All your sister talks about is titans and so does her damn husband they are a bad influence for scientists".

Mum comes and helps me get tucked back into bed and I drift to sleep.

=The Next Day=
Chris and Jeanette arrive at our door by morning, Jeanette shared the same H/C hair as my mother's and mine while Chris had blonde hair and emerald eyes.

They looked very professional, Jeanette carried a leather suitcase while them both wore scientist cloaks.

Jeanette smiles strongly and picks me up by my waist staring at me. She says "What a lovely little one you've turned into, Grisha will be proud" I stutter "G-Grisha? Who's that Aunty?" Chris rests a hand on my tiny shoulder and says "Aunty and I's boss".

My mother gasps in delight seeing her sister Jeanette. Aunty puts me down so my mother can tackle her into a hug, Jeanette is so professional it's as if she expects everything to happen and doesn't seem bothered by it. It's kind of the same with Chris except he's more colder, he talks to people as if they are something like a pet or a new experiment to him.

Jeanette looks at her little sister in her arms and asks "How are you?" my mother blurts "I'm okay how are you? I don't see you much, are you okay?" so quickily.

My mother finally let's go of Aunty when she answers all of mothers questions as if it were a test.

I watch them talk before I finally notice the shocking presence beside me, I turn only to be face to face with Chris who is kneeling and holds out his hand to me.

I peer into his hand and see blueberries, he says "I altered these blueberries to taste sweeter, eat them and tell me if I have succeeded. I added a little surprise in them" I pick up one from his gloved hand but before I can pop it into my mouth my father clears his throat to catch our attention.
