Chapter 12

~(Y/N's POV)~
I scream and pull at Levi's arms, I try to reach out for Annie but Levi holds me tighter.

"Y/N, there is nothing we can do, she won't come out of that crystal I'm sorry", Armin stays a safe distance so I don't accidently hit him.

Tears won't stop falling from my face, Annie was taken from me, all she was doing was trying to protect me and be there for me and now my childhood friend is gone.

I finally ran out of energy to fight in Levi's arms, I ended up melting into his chest weakly with small whimpers escaping my throat.

Levi stands up making me follow his actions and flew me down to the crystal, he still held me just in case so I wouldn't do anything stupid until I've properly calmed down.

As we approached the crystal I put a hand on where Annie's face is, she looks so peaceful and quiet.

Erwin puts a hand on my head gently and says, "We need to leave now, don't worry Y/N, we will take Annie with us".

I nod slowly and turn around in Levi's grasp, I hug him tightly hiding my face in his chest.

~Back at HQ~
It's been 2 hours since we got back and I haven't left my room.

Faint knocks are heard on my door, Eren walks in to find me curled up on Annie's bed gripping her bed sheet with a sad expression.

"Y/N, I'm sorry about attacking Annie... And grabbing you", he rubs the back of his neck awkwardly and says, "I didn't want to believe Annie was the female titan, I didn't want to belive Reiner would be in on it too".

I sat up slowly, "I guess you just wanted people to be safe but I don't understand, why did you guys attack her?", I ask, Eren swallows hard his eyes wide.

He sits next to me and puts a hand on my shoulder taking a deep breath before saying, "Annie had confronted me at the castle reck and told me her plan along with Reiner and Bertholt".

He stops for a bit before continuing, "I thought Annie told you, their plan was to wipe humanity to extinction just to live freely outside the walls among titans", I am speechless from what Eren told me.

I see tears build up in his eyes, "Eren?", I say, "I loved Annie so much!", I grab onto Eren's shirt tears threatening to fall.

"You of all people shouldn't have gone through that, neither of us should of", Eren says as he brings me in his embrace.

Someone clears their throat, Eren and I look towards the door to see Levi standing there patiently with a glare.

Eren stutters, "C-Captain..", he holds me closer to his chest I'm almost squished.

Levi doesn't remove his glare from Eren when he says, "I need a word with Cadet L/N, get your arse out of here and bother the other cadets brat", Eren hesitates at first but soon obeys running out of the room Eren stops looking back at me from the corner of his eye before running down the hall.

Levi takes a seat beside and says, "You have training tomorrow with me, don't let Annie get in your way, I know you're stronger than you look you just haven't opened up your eyes to it yet because you choose to be weak", he growls.

In the state I am in now I am quite fragile but I try to tough it out, I nod slowly to show I understood him.

I take Levi's face gently in my hands and move closer, his eyes widen in shock, "Y/N?", he asks.

I inspect his face then smile and say cheerfully in what energy I have in my fragile state my voice breaking a little, "Levi you have a cut and scratches on your face, you better clean them before they get infected", he is surprised at the fact I used his own line slightly changed against him.

He let's a small rare smile go and says, "Are you saying you want me to leave?", he asks, I shake my head in a 'no' and ask him, "Do you have anything I can help your cut with?", I ask.

Levi takes my hands gently and says, "I'm not a fucking medic but I do have a first aid kit in my office", I smile again at his answer.

Walking down the hall hand in hand I lead Levi to his office, Hanji just happens to walk down the same hall and jumps up and down when she spots us together.

"Oh My GoODnEss! Are you two a couple now!?", Hanji screams in delight, Levi just tch's and speeds up.

Once in his office I force Levi to sit on the couch, I grab the first aid kit and a wet cloth.

I sit myself beside him and wipe his face gently, he continues to give me his small smile as I got to work.

Once I finished I put a plaster on his cut and kiss his cheek where the cut is.

A faint blush appeared on his cheeks I smile sweetly and gently touched his scratches on his arm.

I blush when I feel his strong muscles just with brushing my fingers against it.

I realize what I'm doing and jerk back, "I must get going, it's almost dinner", I say as I hurriedly put away the first aid kit.

Levi stands up and makes it to the door before I do and says, "I'll follow since I should be going in the same direction", at that I walk with him feeling awkward hoping he doesn't think I'm weird for just touching his arms like that.

Now it's time to face dinner with whatever situations that arrive!
