Chapter 9

I've started packing early in the morning, everyone else is still asleep so I decided I might go for a little morning walk.

I gazed at the 3DMG but decide to leave it.

~(Levi's POV)~
I open my eyes to the sound of rustling beside me, I reach out to find nothing except the feel of a furry blanket.

I groan and open my eyes, when I sit up I see locks of H/L H/C hair leave the enterence of the cave.

I stare at the enterence for a while before getting up I felt a sharp tug on my wrist I glare at Annie, she glares back.

"What?", I ask harshly, Annie looks at the exit then looks back, "What do you think you're doing?", she asks, I roll my eyes and say, "You don't ask your corporal such a question, it's none of your business", I 'tch' her.

"It's my business if it involves Y/N", Annie says, I furrow my brows, "She's your close friend I understand you are protective of her but this is ridiculous for you Annie I'm her corporal as well", I growl, Annie doesn't dare to leave my glare.

"I've seen how you look at her in your 'private lessons' you like her and you are getting in the way of business between me and her", Annie snaps.

I give her an amused expression taking my hand to my chin and say, "Business with Y/N? Are you two in a romantic relationship? Or is this some other kind of business", I ask my expression may be interested in the subject but my heart feels like a wave of anger washed over.

'What am I thinking!?', I mentally growl myself.

Annie squeezes my wrist harshly and says, "It's none of your business", I turn my gaze to my wrist that's when I heard a bone chilling cry from outside.

~Outside~
I skid on the grass and come to a stop, there she is, Y/N in the hand of a titan, she struggles and tries to pry the hand off her but its no use.

I sprint towards the titan, I'm not going to loose that cadet!

The titan opens it's gigantic mouth slowly bringing Y/N closer to it's face.

My eyes widen I have a feeling I won't make it in time!

My adrenaline rushes in as I speed up faster and faster then...

CRUNCH!

I stop in my tracks, eyes wide, and blood pumping, "Y/N?", I whisper to myself as I watch the titan stagger back its hand missing.

The female titan appears covered in titan blood, she is the one that bit the titans hand which can only mean, Y/N is inside her mouth...

I growl and that when Erwin and Hanji came by my side with their gear along with everyone else.

The female titan took one last glare at them before running off, I was about to run after when I am pulled back by Erwin, "Don't forget your gear", he says as he chucks me 3DMG.

~(Y/N's POV)~
I didn't like being in a titans mouth even if it was Annie, the whole idea makes me shiver.

I sit on Annie's tounge when a little bit of saliva hit me, I cringe in disgust, "Ew...", I whisper to myself.

I can hear Annie's feet thump from outside her mouth, it's so dark in here...

Suddenly a bright light shines as the sound of tearing flesh is heard, I squint to see Levi standing at the enterence of the mouth, one of his blades is holding the roof of the mouth open but just barely.

I am shocked I crawl towards him quickly and hug him around the waist burying my head in his chest, "Y/N, we need to get out of here this titans still moving and she's try to grab me!", he forces out.

He holds onto me with one of his arms and slices Annie's mouth, I gasp in horror worried for Annie.

Annie roars and Levi takes the chance to grasp me tightly and fall backwards out of the mouth.

The air wips my H/C hair as we fall, I hold on tighter, Levi activates his gear and flies away from Annie.

Annie roars, I look back and see her ripped open mouth, she stares as I am taken away but something tells me she is happy I'm safe.

We stop on a nearby tree so Levi can catch his breath, I smile at him when he pinches my cheek with one hand a bit harshly, "You idiot, what were you thinking leaving without your gear?", I feel tears well up in my eyes from the pain.

"L-Levi it hurts!", I try to tell him, he finally let's go and says, "You still need training, never leave my side when we are outside the walls", he gives me a glare I slowly nod to let him know I understand.

He takes my chin gently and brings my face forward, "Some of your cuts re-opened", he inspects my face.

I feel heat creeping onto my face, he's so close!

Apart of me wants to feel more of his touch, apart of me wants his lips on mine but I am brought back to reality when Levi giggles slightly at my dazed reaction.

"Are you daydreaming about your corporal again cadet?", he asks amused, I stutter, "C-corporal! It's n-not like that!", I attempt to lie Levi leans in closer so our noses brush brush lightly, "You're a bad liar", his voice is almost too much for me to handle.

"Y/N! Levi! It's time to head home!", Hanji smiles from the ground, we nod and head down to the others.

Everyone got on their horses and I exchange glances with Annie when she hops on hers, Levi was about to pull me up on his horse when Annie clears her throat.

"Corporal, I will take her, it would be a shame if a titan arrived and killed humanity's strongest for carrying too much stuff", she nods to the massive bags hanging off both sides of the horse.

Levi was about to say something until he saw a couple of soldiers look at him.

"Fine", is all Levi says as he let's me go, I hope on Annie's horse and we ride off, back on the path.
