Halloween Special! (LONG CHAPTER)

(It's Halloween in my country today so this is a Halloween special! WARNING THIS IS A LOOONG CHAPTER. Also just imagine your Halloween Costume for this, ignore my spelling and grammar mistakes... )

HQ is so festive for Halloween tonight, it's even better when there are no expositions, or titan activity.

The halls are decorated with bat and pumpkin streamers, and the dining room is filled with life sized stickers on titans on the wall, made by Hanji who made sure they were realistic to freak out wandering cadets.

I find Annie looking at the titan stickers in the dining room, my eyes light up and I chuck myself at her back.

She's wearing a plain white t-shirt and dark blue jeans, every else is dressed in costumes.

She sighs and takes my legs so she's giving me a piggyback ride. She says in a bored tone, "What do you want?", I lay my head on her back and say, "You look lovely".

She cracks a smile and says, "You look cute in that (Costume)" and walks us to a room in HQ with church-shaped windows, it also has crates with 3DMG in it, Annie sets me down at one of the long tables and plays with my hair.

Then the lights flicker off, Annie looks around unphazed and says, "Must have lost power", I suddenly get an odd feeling and whisper, "I've noticed, I haven't seen anyone since I found you".

She rolls her eyes and says, "You're not getting scared are you?", I can't think of anything to say so I just cling to her arm.

We open the door to leave the church-like room to find Reiner standing there with a lantern dressed in a frankenstien costume and Bertholt beside him with a skeleton look painted on him.

I scream at the sudden appearance of them, Reiner says, "Calm down Y/N, it's just us", Annie says, "That's what she's afraid of".

Reiner doesn't reply, instead he hovers a hand behind my back and motions me to walk with them.

Reiner says clutching the lantern in his hand, "Cadets have disappeared, we don't know how or why, but somethings up", Bertholt gulps, I cling to Annie's arm.

Annie asks, "Any possibility it's a titan?", Reiner shakes his head and says, "I don't know, I don't think it's likely, the wall is far from here", Bertholt says, "Yeah but only a couple of meters away, it's still in view from here, a titan can spot this place if it came through".

I feel tears build up in my eyes as I grow frightened, Annie takes notice and places a hand on mine.

I stutter nervously, "Annie you don't r-really t-think there is a titan here do you?", Annie squeezes my hand reassuringly and says, "It's going to be okay", even though she says this it doesn't reassure me everything will be fine.

We enter the dining room to check if anyone's there, no one...

Bowels and cutlery are knocked off tables, chairs are thrown across the room.

Bertholt whispers, "This place looks abandoned...", Annie has wide eyes, her breath hitches and she says, "It wasn't like this minutes ago, this is new".

I run my fingers over massive deadly scratches in a wooden table, tears threaten to fall, I shakily whisper with a gasp of breath, "I-I don't like this... Everything was fine until- Whatever this is!", my breathing becomes more hear able as my saliva gets sticky in my mouth.

Annie and the boys freeze, I stand still, she places a hushing finger carefully on her lips.

There is shuffling in the middle of the room, I slowly turn my head towards it, two woman fall out from underneath a table.
