Levi x Reader (Humanity's Strongest x Humanity's Weakest)

Chapter 8

Since it took us days to get to that location for a titan it probably wouldn't have taken long for Annie, we have to stay the night in a nearby cave since the broken villages are most likely still inhabited by small titans.

We have already set up camp and some of us are resting while other cadets are taking night watch.

I stretch myself in the cave, the torch lights flickering on the dark walls of the cave and it's somewhat calming.

"Cadet", I turn to the voice that called for me, it belonged to Levi, I immediately salute, Levi looks outside of the cave before looking back at me and says, "Come with me".

I nod and follow him outside the cave to an open grassy field with the stars sprinkling the sky, he puts a hand up for me to stop and points ahead.

I look around him to see shadows of titans in the star light, my eyes widen and I instinctively take his arm, "Why are you showing me this?", I whisper worriedly, Levi turns to me and says, "You want to get over your fear of titans right? How about we go for a little walk under the stars", he gives a small smirk.

I feel like he's being cruel to me...

He forces me to walk with him holding my arm hard so I won't run away, my eyes dart from one titan to another as we walk into a cage full of cats while us being the mice.

Their massive gaping grins, their wide open eyes, the malice look in their lifeless figure.

My leg brushes against something thick and hard, I yelp when I realize it's a titans finger, I look at Levi with pleading eyes, "Please can we get out of here?", I ask shaking his arm lightly, he just 'tch's me and continues to walk dragging me beside him.

After a few more minutes of walking with him he breaks the silence, "How do you feel now?", he asks giving me his usual cold glare, I say, "I feel a little bit more calmer than before but I'm still...", I hear a twig snap I immediately turn to find a deer walking near us.

"A part of you is still scared", Levi says and I nod, he sighs and pulls me into a tight hug, I am shocked at the sudden move but it doesn't stop me from hugging back.

"You're alive brat, I'm glad you actually made it out otherwise my training would have been a waste", he slightly growls, I can't help but giggle a little.

He let's go and walks me back to the cave.

Once we are back Levi heads off to speak with Erwin and Hanji while I am tackled by Historia.

"Y/N! Where were you? Are you okay? Please tell me that female titan didn't kidnap you again!" she gives me a worried look, I smile and say, "It's okay Historia, I'm okay", she sighs a breath of relief.

Mikasa, Annie, Sasha, Ymir and the other women cadets surround me and we all talk amongst eachother.

We all take a seat on the ground and continue to speak for a very long time before an interesting question is asked.

"Hey, is it just me or is it the corporal has been quite nice to Y/N?", Ymir asks everyone, Annie who was drawing on the cave wall with a stone slashes at the cave wall making fire sparks along with a horrible screech sound at the sudden question.

A few cadets agree then all of a sudden Jean pops up behind me and wraps an arm around my shoulder, "That corporal's got nothing on Y/N unlike me", he grins and winks at me, I try to shove him off but I fail too.

"HEY!", both Annie and Levi shout in unison and exchange shocked glances at each other before returning to glare at Jean, Jean gulps in fear as Annie approaches Jean and throws him off me.

Levi takes my hand and pulls me off the ground, Annie looks back and narrows her eyes angrily in Levi's direction and takes my other hand.

I look between the two glaring daggers into each other, best friend vs corporal I thought then decided to yank my hands away from the both of them causing Annie and Levi to jump in slight shock.

Hanji and Erwin giggle in the back, the cave is engulfed in absolute silence before the shuffling and talking began once again.

I yawn and rub my eyes, Hanji wraps a blanket around me still giggling, "Looks like Annie and Levi have the hots for you", she says pushing up her glasses with a grin.

"Annie's my bestfriend, and Levi is my corporal, it would be a bit wrong if a soldier and a corporal were a thing right?", I ask, Hanji grabs my shoulders, leans in and says, "There is nothing wrong with that at all" her voice is stern before she continues, "Just like how I'm absolutely in love with my experiments!", she starts fangirling about her trapped titans back at home, I shiver in the fear that clenches my stomach when she mentions the titans names.

An arm wraps around my shoulder pulling me back from Hanji,"Enough you're freaking her out", that emotionless voice can only belong too humanity's strongest.

Levi looks at me and says, "It's time we get to bed", I look at him confused and Hanji flashes another grin, Levi glares at Hanji before returning my gaze and leading me to my bed which lies next to his in the cave.

I lay down on my back while Levi lies on his, suddenly I hear shuffling I turn my head to the other side of me to see Annie acting as if everything is natural when she sets her bed down next to me, I can't help but giggle silently and relax closing my eyes.
