Nagisa's POV

"So who should start us off?" I ask, hoping Kayano will say herself.

"I'll go first then" Kayano said, looking forward to our discussions.

"What were your first impressions of me?" Kayano asked.

Of course she seemed great, incredibly cheerful, and she was the reason I was no longer ashamed by my hair, there were many things I could say. But, she also wanted a story to back this so I decided to give her something good too.

"Well..." I began, "you seemed like a pretty positive person, and a great addition to the whole of class 3-E. Then you called out my hair, and quickly made it to look like yours." I said.

"Now here's somewhat of a story, my mom always wanted a girl, so for my whole life, she insisted on having long hair, as it looked good on me. Personally I never liked it, and after high school, I intend on cutting it." I say, hoping I'm doing things correctly.

Kayano seemed pretty invested in what I had to say so I kept going.

"You were the first person to make note of it so bluntly, and it kind of impressed me. You made it look like this and I've worn it that way ever since."

I finished my answer feeling a sense of satisfaction. I had never really thought of things in the way Kayano had forced me to in this game. I was excited to keep this going.

"That was a wonderful story, Nagisa. I'm glad I made such a good impression on you!" Kayano squealed. "Now it's your turn to ask me something."

I knew I had to get serious sooner or later, but I couldn't immediately do so. Kayano began this as something to have fun with, and I would like to do more of that too.

Kayano's POV

I underestimated Nagisa's ability to get the hang of this as quickly as he did, and that makes me very happy.

"Hm... I guess I'll ask you what your first memory was?" Nagisa said, after a minute to think.

This was both quite easy to answer with more of a reasoning for part of who I really am.

"Believe it or not it was my first time my parents gave me pudding!" I said, beginning to laugh. "It's quite the strange first memory I know, but I can say with certainty that it is why I love it so much today."

Nagisa laughed with me, which made me quite happy. Nagisa has the perfect smile.

This game of ours went on for what felt like forever, in a good way of course. They say time flies fast when you're having fun, but I was having the time of my life, and it took us almost until dinner.

We laughed, we kidded, we were honest with each other. We learned more about the other, while learning some things about ourselves on the way. It's just how this game was. Doing this with the perfect person made it all that much better.

"Nagisa it's almost time for dinner, we should start to think what we should get before we continue." I said, disappointed we would have to pause the fun.

"We can just order something to be delivered, then we can continue this game of ours a bit longer!" Nagisa exclaimed.

It made me quite happy that he was having as much fun as I was.

"Ok, I'll order something from a ramen place, and it'll be here in about 20 minutes. Is that ok with you?" I asked.

"That's a great idea, Kayano." Nagisa said, putting on that smile of his once more.

I smile and put in 2 orders of my favorite item to be delivered here. Nagisa would love it for sure.

Since we didn't have much longer I wanted to sneak in a question for him that I wanted an honest answer and explanation for. I just had to hope he didn't freak out by it...

"I-It's my turn, r-right Nagisa?" I say, losing the stability in my voice.

"Uhhhh, yes. Yes it is." Nagisa responded.

My heart started racing, it had to be going well over 120 bpm at this point.

"S-so Nagisa, if you had to m-marry someone in our class... w-who would it be and w-why...?" I said, somehow managing to not collapse out of embarrassment.

Nagisa looked absolutely speechless, as if I had just asked him to ace the finals this year. I began to panic, he didn't seem to even know what I had asked him. I have no clue what he's going through his mind right now.

Nagisa's POV

I have no idea what to say. The first person who came to my mind was Kayano. I don't know how to go about this though.

Like am I supposed to just list reasons why she would make a good wife? That's way too embarrassing, and I can't let her get too flustered over this.

Should I lie and say someone like Nakamura? No, I couldn't do that, she has been honest this whole game, I can't lie now of all times.

Kayano is looking increasingly more impatient, I've got to answer her now.

"W-well... it's you Kayano..." I say, looking more towards the ground than her. "There are a lot of reasons actually..."

Kayano and I were both more red than Karma's hair. It was too tough for either of us to look the other in the eye.

"The way you've treated me over the course of the school year. How you have been so close to me for so long. Despite what others say about us, it doesn't change our friendship one bit." I say, almost holding back tears. "You've got such a great smile. You have an excellent sense of humor. You never see the worst in people. You keep the most positive outlook on life, no matter what it throws you."

Both Kayano and I started to rub our eyes.

"Nobody else has cared for me in the way that you have. Accepting me for everything I am, as a student, an assassin, and as a friend. Nobody else was an option, Kayano. I would marry you hands down." I say, letting a few tears out in the process.

Kayano was in absolute shock. She was crying a bit too, and likely for all the same reasons as I, happiness for having each other, and for the acts of kindness we have each done out of friendship for the other.

Getting more information out of Kayano will have to wait. I'm living in this moment right now. My ulterior motives will have to wait for another day.

Kayano's POV

Never in my life did I ever think I'd be this happy. So many things that Nagisa said about me I felt about him.

Wait, if that is the case, does this mean he has the same feelings for me that I have for him!?

I'll think about this later! Right now is the time to respond to Nagisa!

"Oh... t-thank you for the kind words you have..." I say, redder than when I was holding his hand earlier today. "You know Nagisa, I would have many of those same things to say about you too..."

Nagisa looked up, almost in disbelief. He looked relieved I wasn't creeped out by anything I had to say.

He looked absolutely perfect.

"Kayano..." Nagisa began, "Kayano I—"

Nagisa was interrupted by my door alarm going off. Our dinner had just arrived.

"Oh, I'll go get that." Nagisa said, getting up from his position on the couch.

"N-no!" I said too loudly. "I'll go get it, it'll make more sense since I was the one to order it..."

"Ok then..." Nagisa said.

I sprung from my chair and quickly ran to go pick it up. Part of me just wanted the embarrassment to end, but I also wanted to keep the conversation going. But that will have to wait, let's just eat to cool our minds from all this intensity.

I smiled, walking back to my door.

"Heh heh... thank you Nagisa, I love you too" I whispered to myself.
