Akari's POV
Nagisa drove me home from our date, and I was very grateful that he did so much for me tonight.
We almost kissed, and I wanted that. I knew something like that was possible tonight, but I wasn't expecting myself to want it.
I said goodnight to Nagisa, closed my door, sat down right there, and just teared up. It wasn't sadness from tonight, more sadness of what was to come.
I didn't tell Nagisa, because I didn't want him to worry. I wanted this night to be perfect, and bad news wouldn't add to anything.
Next week, I'll be going overseas for a few months for work. I want to be with Nagisa, though.
I started seriously crying now. I have had such a fantastic time with Nagisa recently. I don't really want to go without him, but I'll probably have to...
Suddenly I got a text, I picked up my phone eagerly, hoping it's from Nagisa. Sure enough it was!
Hey Akari, I had a great time tonight, want to do something else like this next weekend?
I was unsure as to what I should say. I absolutely loved tonight, and I'd love to do it again. Though having to leave for a while next week would be a conversation I'll need to have with him still.
I had a great time as well! Does something on Sunday sound good? My treat this time!
I hope that he says yes. I want to spend more time with Nagisa, before I have to leave...
Sunday is great! Shall I pick you up again? Just let me know the place and I'll be ready.
I wipe my eyes and put on a big smile. I'm glad Nagisa had a great time too, and that he wanted to do it again.
I'll probably have to tell him about my work traveling. I don't want to have to just leave without warning.
I got sick to my stomach thinking of Nagisa's reaction to me leaving for months. I want to be with Nagisa.
I-I think I love him...
Nagisa's POV
Let me think about over the next few days, when I get a plan I'll let you know right away!
That was the final thing I heard from Akari tonight. I saw tonight as a pretty big success, and I'm thrilled she wants to do it again, too.
I sat down in the chair in my living room, staring at the ceiling. I could still feel the moment Akari and I were having. The moment where we almost kissed. I could hardly hear myself think, but my heart beat was drowning it out.
What would have happened if we did kiss?
I can't think about this, I needed some sleep, tomorrow I needed to crack down on preparation for school. I still had quite a lot of work ahead of me. On the bright side, my school requires 1 hour of each school day to be reserved for silent study time. I will get some extra time to work.
Korosensei taught me the importance of caring for each student individually, as opposed to treating everyone as the same level. Students will be better in areas, and worse in others. I can't control that, but what I can do is teach around that.
It was just before I turned the lights out that I got a phone call. It was Karma. I had no clue what he needed at 10:15 at night, but it was probably important. So I pick up and ask Karma how I could help him.
"Hey there Nagisa, it's been a while since we've had some one on one time, wouldn't you say? I have a work meeting on Tuesday that goes until roughly 8:00 pm. Rio is going to be out of town for the next few days, want to join me for a drink?" Karma asks.
"Oh... well I don't drink beer too much so..." I say, scratching the back of my head.
"It's right by your place, I'd love to have you, but if you can't make it then I won't pester you too much." Karma added.
"Well I guess that sounds kinda interesting. If I have the time to, yeah I'll come along." I say, getting increasingly tired.
"Thanks Nagisa, I'll see you then!" Karma says as he hangs up.
After the most eventful night in quite some time, I can finally get some rest.
The next morning
Sunday's are the beginning of the week, and each week I find some inspirational quote to write in my weekly planner, and on the board in my classroom. The quote for this week was from... Korosensei.
The difference between the master and the novice is the master has failed more times than the novice has tried.
I've scattered some Korosensei teachings into the weekly messages I give my students. I do it because they were the best pieces of advice I had ever gotten.
My father wasn't present for most of my life, so Korosensei eventually became somewhat of a father to me. It's just a shame Korosensei had to be killed, if he wanted to he could have spoken wisdom for 100 more years.
After completing my morning routine, it's time to get moving on these tests.
So, Shota and Tatsuki both have similar struggles, their tests can look similar, but Tatsuki needs less work on writing...
Kano and Yui honestly don't need help on anything, but I can still sharpen their strengths, a wide distribution of questions will be required for those two.
The longer I went on, the more excited I got. Call me crazy, but doing tasks like these is what makes me feel like Korosensei is watching over me. Following how he did things makes me feel success as an instructor.
Scrolling through textbooks, forming the exams, considering all aspects of my student's strengths and weaknesses, it took a while but I had an incredibly productive day.
The only thing that remained was to get through the remaining material, and to help the students any way I can during their cram sessions. I can't create two dozen copies of myself, but it's what I have to do to follow the Korosensei way. Nobody can live up to Korosensei's greatness, so I do what I can.
