Nagisa's POV
I woke up in my room several hours later. Akari was sleeping right next to me. We had moved ourselves to my room, but nothing too weird happened. I was a bit glad, because I probably wasn't ready for it anyway...
I sat up and silently looked at Akari. She looked absolutely adorable. I kissed her on the cheek, grabbed some clothes, and made my way to the bathroom to get changed.
As I walked back in to wake Akari up, she was already sitting up looking at me. We both gave each other smiles.
"H-hey Nagisa..." Akari said softly.
"Akari... I have an idea..." I started, "are you interested in camping at all?"
Akari looked a bit surprised, she didn't have much of an idea as to why I would ask such a question. I had a plan though, and if she accepts it would make the weeks she had left much better.
"I enjoy camping, but what are you planning?" Akari asked.
"There's this campsite called Camp Hinata a couple hours north of here. I have some equipment that the school gave to the teachers for retreats. We can spend my extended weekend there... together..." I say, getting a red face, hoping she'll accept my offer.
"I'd love to join you Nagisa!" Akari exclaimed.
I laughed a bit before thanking her for choosing to join me, and for requesting the extra time to be with me.
"Well... I should probably go now, I've been here a while." Akari said, getting up to find her things.
She packed her things then waited at the door for a bit. I came up to her to say goodbye, but then Akari grabbed me with both hands by the waist, pulled me in to give me a kiss goodbye. I held on to her for its duration. We split apart, still holding on to each other, said goodbye, and with that Akari let go and headed home.
Today is Monday, and at about Wednesday in two weeks, Akari will be leaving for several months. I was given a 5 day weekend, all to myself. There was nothing to prepare for, no papers for me to grade, just me and Akari.
My mind went off of Akari for a short bit, and I went back to Nagisa-Sensei. I want to email my students apologizing for missing school day, and update them about my presence for finals.
Good evening class,
I'm very sorry so couldn't make it in today, I felt quite ill and didn't want to risk spreading it to anyone else. I do hope class went well, the substitute teacher gave you the tests I made, and he told me that they went very well. I'm so very proud of you all!
I do have some extra news. The company supplying the tests wants to observe how the class feels about the new questions you will be asked, so some classes were asked to be monitored by workers of the company. Our class was one of the classes selected for that observation, and therefore I won't be there for your finals day.
I'll email you guys after each day, and I'll be cheering you all on from wherever I am! I'll be in class tomorrow, and there for next week.
Thank you and have a wonderful day,
Nagisa-Sensei
I hated to lie to my students, it physically hurt. Though telling them why I wasn't going to make it would be very inappropriate, and unfair to Akari's privacy. So I guess I'll just have to deal with it this time.
I did what I could to get my things ready for tomorrow, I'll be there for the last day of finals preparation. I encourage students to help each other out, as well as aiding them myself in any way I can. It was what Korosensei did, and it worked for Class 3-E, it also worked for my class each year. I always had a student or two place top 10-15 of the whole grade. I had lots of faith that Kano could be number one if she did her best.
