Nagisa's POV
After a long and entertaining night, everyone got some good sleep. I was up first out of the ones in my room at least, just out of habit of getting to school early. Even though I didn't have too much to drink last night I was mentally boomed. I don't weigh too much so a little goes a long way.
Karma and Hiroto got up not very long after me, both in hangover mode. I was peacefully sitting in the chair in the corner of the room reading. I looked suspicious almost, but they both knew I didn't have the courage to sneak something on them.
"H-hey... Nagisa." Hiroto says.
Karma just sat up in silence. I laughed a little before grabbing my phone to text Isogai. Luckily he was up and dressed, though a little tired from last night still. He said that Sora and Takuya were both awake as well. We agreed to go down to the breakfast buffet for the morning. Karma's plans had ended as of now anyway.
We made our way down the elevator and into the breakfast area. There was lots to choose from but I just settled with a coffee and some scrambled eggs. We all convened at a table close to a wall meant to seat 6.
"So Karma..." Sora begins, "which are you more looking forward to, your wedding or your childbirth?"
That was probably a tough question. I can't speak for Karma, but there's no way I could make a decision like that. My parents always said that their wedding and my birthday are tied for their happiest days.
"This sounds weird but for sure my wedding." Karma says confidently.
We all gave him shocked looks, not expecting anything really, but still a surprise.
"Now hear me out! I've been planning the wedding for so long, and it's an event that's coming sooner. Shiro being born is still a huge priority of mine, just less immediate."
That makes sense. Karma always has some sort of reasoning for what he says and does. We talked with Karma a bit more. His feelings and desires from his future life as a husband and father. Then I noticed something from the TV connected to a support beam near us. I saw that an interesting story is being broadcasted.
"Hey everyone, check this out." I say, pointing to the TV.
Well the results are in. Ritsu has become the number one ranked jpop artist after years in the field. She edged out a win by a few hundred votes. A big thanks to the over 50,000 of you who voted!
Hiroto, Isogai, Karma, and I all look at each other in shock. We never saw this day coming, Ritsu becoming who she did. Korosensei's reprogramming must have done wonders in all areas of her life.
"You know, Sora and Takuya, we used to go to school with her." I say.
They both burst into laughter. I felt embarrassed a bit, but the others from class 3-E had my back. Although they were laughing about it too. Probably just because I mentioned one of the many quirks of junior high.
"You know she's not actually real right!?" Takuya says.
"She clearly didn't go to school if she's a computer!" Sora says through his laughs.
"Actually boys, he's right." Karma says, halting their smiles.
"Yep" Isogai says, "it's strange to hear but Nagisa is right!"
"Yeah it was a strange thing to us all back then too. Ritsu was brought into our class in our final year of junior high to see things from the perspective of students who were considered rejects. Her A.I. programmers wanted lots of unique experiences for songs. Her song about the dreams on a mountain was a reference to our campus actually." Karma said.
