Chapter 6: Class on the shore

Nagisa's POV

I woke up just early enough to make my breakfast before heading out for the day. Our instructions were to meet up at the classroom, then Korosensei would fly us over to a sandy beach by the ocean. Mach 20 speeds come in handy for school trips. Since nobody really cared what happened to Class E, Principal Asano allowed it without much thought.

I made it to the classroom around 10 minutes before the bell, and there were a few other students there, Karma was one of them surprisingly so I had someone to talk to. Nakamura joined us too, always nice to have more company.

A few minutes later Kayano arrives. We were excited to see her, just one issue. She was accidentally wearing one of the shirts I loaned to her. My face turned red rather quickly, but I had to hide my worries to her and the rest of the class. All was seemingly going well, though nothing could have prepared for what happened next.

Karma's POV

Nagisa, Nakamura, and myself were having a nice morning, talking about the excitement for the day ahead of us. Even I have to admit class was going to be fun.

Kaede was the next of the students to arrive on campus. Nagisa immediately got kind of red, and it took me a minute to figure out why. But then I saw it, and boy was it fun.

Last week, Nagisa had met up with a few of us at the cafe Isogai worked at, so we could discuss an assassination plan for Korosensei. He was wearing the same shirt as Kayano is now, I could tell because of the stitches on the side from a tear that happened a while ago.

No doubt in my mind, she was wearing Nagisa's shirt. Quickly I whispered to Nakamura, "Hey, Kaede is wearing Nagisa's shirt, let's make Nagisa know we can see this." I said with my evil tone.

"Hey Nagisa..." Nakamura began, "is it just me or is that shirt Kaede has familiar..."

Nagisa immediately knew we were onto him. He got really flustered and Kaede might not have even realized what she had done.

"Maybe you should ask for it back hmmm?" I said knowing Nagisa would give a reaction.

"WHAT!?" Nagisa shouted, "KARMA STOP IT!"

Kaede was beyond confused as to what Nagisa was losing his mind over.

"Guess you'll have some questions to answer Nagisa." Nakamura said as Korosensei arrived for the start of class.

This will be tons of fun I thought to myself.

Nagisa's POV

The journey to the shore was a short one, traveling past the speed of sound will do that. But having Nakamura give me her evil stare the duration of it made it feel like we were flying across the Pacific Ocean. We all got there a few minutes after class started, Korosensei typically will only carry a few people at a time, if he were to drop someone, he would never forgive himself, and would accept death on his own.

Our lesson was about finding marine life on the beach, and to successfully identify them. If we as a class could correctly identify 50 plants and animals, we would come back on Friday, this time for fun.

We were all having a great time, being with friends on the beach while also getting some schooling in. Essentially this was Korosensei's dream come true. Everything was just perfect that day.

There was one final part of today's lesson. Part of what we had to do was pick out our favorite creature we found, then group up with people who had the same choice as us.

I chose the hermit crab, it was a bit hard to explain, it was just an animal I've always taken an interest in. Korosensei grouped us up based on our responses, and my partner was both a blessing and a curse.
