Nagisa's POV

I made a good enough pace on the exam creation to where the time I would get from the extra study hall would be enough to finish. I wanted both enough time to spare for Karma and Akari.

Despite having the time at the reunion, Karma and I still had lots to talk about. We were in our late 20's, and Karma was engaged.

He would be a good person to ask for help on my Akari feelings. I don't want to come off the bat and ask that, I want to have a good night for sure, can't risk messing that up. But if anyone would know how to handle romantic feelings toward a former classmate, it was him.

Tuesday's classes were over, so I went home to take a quick nap before I got some work done. I really don't know much about going to a bar with friends, especially since I've never done it before. I don't know how long it will be so I prepared for a couple hours.

At about 7:30 I got the text from Karma, including the location of where we were to meet up.

Here's the address of the bar, my meeting got out a bit early so I'll be there in 20, see ya then.

The place was maybe a 10 minute drive for me, so I got changed out of my work clothes into a hoodie and jeans, packed what I thought I'd need, and headed out.

Karma's POV

I quickly changed into some more comfortable clothes before I left the office. I didn't want to go enjoy some time at the bar while wearing a suit. I hope Nagisa also picked something comfortable, either that or he would wear something similar to his junior high outfit. That's probably similar to how he'd dress for work if I were to guess.

Come to think about it, I don't know too much about Nagisa's work. I didn't bring up mine either while at the reunion, so that makes sense. Anyway, I'd better get moving, I shouldn't be late.

On my way to the car I got a text from Rio,

Hey there hun, how's it going? I'll be back tomorrow at about noon, so I'll be there when you get home from work.

I'm glad to see that she'll be back tomorrow. She usually gets home before I do anyway, so that being the case made me quite happy. It'll feel normal after she's been out of town all week.

I'm doing just fine, I'm on my way for drinks with Nagisa, actually. I'll see you tomorrow, love you!

Got in my car, and drove off to go talk with my best friend.

Nagisa's POV

I arrived at what I had hoped was the right location, it's been a long time since I was in this part of town.

"How's it going Nagisa!" I hear from behind me.

"Oh hello Karma"

I check my watch and he's right on time, quite the difference from the Karma I used to know. An unexpected turn of events, but a welcome one at that.

"So Nagisa, how long has it been since you went to a bar?" Karma asks as we enter the building.

"Actually the last time was in celebration of my first school year being over. A couple other teachers went to congratulate me on turning around a class of outcasts." I say, pleased in his interest.

"Well I guess that was a while back" Karma stated, "this should be a good experience."

We enter the bar, it's fairly dim, red seats and a dark brown bar surface. There was a pool table and lots of smaller standing tables scattered in the area. It seemed like a very comfortable area, and I can tell why Karma wanted to come here.
