My phone started to ring in my hand.

Saved by the bell. Or was it? I now needed to deal with whatever shit storm Austin had made with my Mom.

"Excuse me, i've got to explain to my mother why people were thinking I was dead. I'm truly looking forward to telling my mom everything that has happened"

"Are you telling her everything? About us?" Austins face looks distraught

"Yes - Hi Mom" I cover the phone with one hand "Even the parts where you took another girl to your hotel and flipped a table at me. She'll love that last part" I knew I was being childish but seeing him panic made me feel better

"Please Regan, don't tell her that. I don't want her to think bad of me" I huffed

"I don't care about what you want Austin" I spit at him, dropping my hand from the phone

"Is everything ok darling?" My mom sounds concerned, she must of heard me shouting at Austin

"Im fine Mom I just went out for a walk and Austin had my phone. I just didn't realise the time"I turned my back to Austin and started to walk for the door

"Austin sounded very worried, he slipped up and mentioned he thought you were headed here. What's happened? Are you not figuring out your differences?" She was always the optimist. I wanted to just blurt out everything to her but I didn't want to do this in front of Austin. I would have to wait till i'm safe at home. I reached for the door handle but Austin stopped me placing his hand over mine, his touch burned my skin. I could feel him standing dangerously close to me, his breath tickling my neck.

"I don't think we can Mom. It's been too long. This isnt working. Im going to come to yours after the show in Dallas and i'm going to stay a while before I head back to L.A if you don't mind?" my voice started to crack. I was telling him as much as I was telling her. Austin pulls his hand off mine and backs off. I pull the door open and start to walk out feeling Austin watching me. "I'll phone you tomorrow mom. I love you"

"So your really just going to leave?" He scoffs from behind me, his voice starting to waiver.

"Just? YOU ran into the nearest groupies arms as soon as we had our first argument. YOU flipped a table at me. YOU left me in the pit"

"I don't hear you taking any responsibility for your side in this. YOU realise that it's not just me thats fucked things up right?" Hes looming over me so I take a step back out of the door.

"Hey Regan, what are you doing here?!" Jason is jogging down the corridor towards me. I plaster a smile on my face and try not look like me and Austin have just been arguing. Jason spots Austin in the doorway. "You two reconnected good!!"

"I've been working for the tour photographer actually. Just a massive coincidence"

"Wait till you two see who else i've found from High School" He picks me up and spins me round as I see Taylor Fret casually strolling towards me. I cry out loudly at Jason squeezing my bruised ribs. Taylor comes running over his eyes wide.

"Shit Regan, are you ok?" Jason puts me down gently. Austin lifts my top up abruptly.

"Regan, what the fuck? Is that from the pit?" he snaps his eyes burning holes into me.

"Austin I'm not talking to you about it" I huff. Smitty peeks over Jason's shoulder and gasps.

"What the hell Regan, why didn't you tell me?" I just shrug, feeling like they are all my big brothers and they are telling me off.

"What were you doing in the pit?" Jason questions

"Taking photos" I pout. Taylor runs his fingers over my ribs whispering apologies as he checks I've not cracked them. Austin narrows his eyes at this intimate touch. Me and Taylor weren't exactly friends in High School. I start to get very nervous that this conversation is going to go from bad to worse, very quickly.
