I didn't get horny later, well too much anyway. Me, my Mom and Jodie ate, drank and ended up watching 'Runaway bride' . Jodie thought this was hilarious. But I enjoyed our mini bachelorette, we even did face masks. My Mom sent me upto bed at 10.30 with a tea wanting me to get a good nights sleep. I wasn't sure how much I would get but I was out as soon as my head hit the pillow.
My Mom gently shook me awake at 7am with a coffee and some pancakes in bed. As soon as I fully woke up I was giddy, it was my wedding day! My dress was hung up at my window with all my accessories on the sill, waiting till the time. I looked down at my engagement ring and was compelled to text him, I knew he wouldn't be awake yet but I just wait to tell him how exited I was to marry him. I had dreamt about this for many years and now it was becoming reality. I wanted to shout it from the rooftops I was that excited to be his wife, finally.
I busied myself having a hot shower, making sure I was silky smooth all over and ready for anything. I took my time getting ready, doing my hair just right and making my makeup perfect. I wanted to look perfect for him. I know he said he didn't care and he probably didn't but I wanted us to look back on this day and remember how perfect it was. Not regret the decision to bypass the big wedding. Not that I thought we would, this just felt right. Like it was destined for us to just have a personal wedding day. Our lives where so full on. This day would be special. I stood in my robe as I looked out the window. The skys where clear and the sun was shining down on us. Perfect
I wanted to wait till the last moment to get dressed and I would need help zipping up my dress so I skipped down to the kitchen to find my Mom. Her and Jodie where dressed to the nines sat at the kitchen island with a glass of something sparkling. "Have you started without me?" I chuckle. Going to the glass cupboard to get myself one.
"We wanted to give you time and space to get ready... didn't want you getting stressed" she smiled "you look beautiful my love"
"Thanks Mom, thought I'd make an effort with it being my WEDDING DAY and all" I squealed excitedly "is it dress time yet? Have the flowers arrived?"
"Nearly dress time, you have time to finish that drink and the flowers are waiting near the door" she patted my hand calmly
"Okay good, easy peasy this wedding malarkey" I smirk "not that we could have done it with out all of your help. We would have had to elope to vegas if we had to arrange it all ourselves"
"Elvis, may have been a good touch" Jodie chuckles "now lady, let's get you dressed"
The dress wasn't too hard to get on but it did take 2 people to help with the shoes and someone had to pop my veil on. I smiled contently as I looked in the mirror, knowing Austin would love it. My Mom started to tear up and Jodie had to rush and get her tissue before she ruined her makeup .
"Oh I wish your dad was here to see this, he would be so proud and happy" I squeezed my moms hand as I tried to blink back the tears threatening to pour. I knew he would be thrilled to know that he was right and we made our way back to each other, eventually. That he was smiling down at us knowingly. But I had to wonder if he was still here if this would have ever actually happened? Would we be the people we are now? If we would have ever reconnected? I had to believe that fate had brought us together and that everything happens for a reason. It made us who we are today
"Mom, I haven't even said my vows yet. Save the tears for later" I hug her tightly "Right. Let's get me my husband!" I practically ran down the stairs and grabbed my perfect bouquet. I swung the door open to see a car sat at the curb waiting for us. My Mom grabbed the champagne and the glasses and we where off to meet the man of my dreams.
The simple ceremony was in a small room with wooden pews either side of the tiniest aisle. The room was plain, white walls with windows around the top. The sunshine streaming in, brightening the whole place. I peeked around the door and saw him standing there. Perfect 3 piece black suit with a crisp white shirt, the top few buttons open to show off his bling. He had tried to style his hair the best way he could, just a little product to tame the frizzy curls that where growing back. My mouth was watering. I smoothed down my dress one last time before my Mom practically pushed me in the room. He snapped his head around as he heard the door close behind us. I blushed as he drank me in, a massive grin spread across his face. I made my way towards him and he reached out to take my hand, pulling me close.
