"Really? That's such a shame. You would be total couple goals" Cass said as she rounded us.

"Yeah, you make a really cute couple" a girl named Sarah says and I'm sure Austin dated her for a while in school. I never liked her but I'm guessing that was because of my pining over Austin and nothing to do with the poor girl, I probably didn't give her a chance.

"Cute?" Cass laughs "More like hot, I'm horny just looking at them" everyone starts to laugh. Austins thumb strokes up and down my thigh, moving little by little to my inner thigh. A shiver runs down my spine and I automatically place my hand over his. I was glad that someone other than me had pointed out that we should be together. Even better when they think that we look good together. I just needed him to realise we look and are better together than him and Ashlen.

"Hey Post, game of pool?" Jason shouts. Austin turns to look at me , like he's looking for permission before he nods and walks over to the table. The girls practically run towards me, huddling round me to get the gossip. I smile and roll my eyes on the inside at how transparent they where. I just wasn't sure if they where genuinely interested or they wheee only bothered because he was now Posty. I had no idea who he still spoke to from back home, he had never mentioned it and I don't recall these being at the hometown show.

"So he is soooo head over heels for you" Cass laughs. I just shake my head and laugh trying to act nonchalant "You can't even deny it, look at the way he looks at you. Damn I'd love to have someone look at me like that"

"It's complicated" I sigh, contemplating if to tell them the truth or to pretend that everything is fine.

"Complicated sounds interesting" Cass wiggles her eyebrows. I bite my lip and look between them still trying to decipher if I could trust them with the rubix cube that is my life. That's when I heard that laugh. My blood ran cold. Austin's head snapped up to look at me, showing me he had heard it too. I grit my teeth and raised my eyebrow at him before shaking my head and looking down at my hands in my lap.

"And that's the complication" I slide myself off the high stool, really not wanting to be stuck in this nightmare. I turn to see Ashlen dancing her way through the crowd to a table full of people, they all greet her loudly. That's when she spots me and her happy, friendly face falls. I throw her an irritated look before making my way to the ladies. Austin grabs my arm before I take more than two steps away from our group

"Please don't leave, I had no idea she was going to be here I swear " his eyes pleaded with mine as he clutched onto my arm.

"I'm just going to the restroom Austin" his face softened but his clutch was still as tight. I pulled away gently and disappeared into the crowd.

After a short wait I managed to squeeze past the drunk girls and into a stall. I pushed the seat cover down and sat down heavily, hanging my head in my hands and trying to clear my head. Just seeing her had sent me spiralling out of control. I took a couple of deep breaths, smoothed out my dress and my hair and checked my makeup on the way out of the restroom. I walked with my head high and a slight smirk in my face. She wasn't going to force me out, we where on mutual ground now and I wasn't planning on losing.

I heard her before I saw her hanging off Austin's arm. She was dressed in high boots, jeans and a scarf - from what I could tell. She was literally draping herself in his arm and he looked ridiculously uncomfortable. His face was a picture as I walked towards them. His eyes where wide and panicked. I kissed him on the cheek and sway straight passed them trying to keep my face straight, I head to the table and towards Tony and Luke. Tony smirks as he watches Austin's and Ashlen's faces. Austin being the jealous man that he is was completely focused on me and Luke, watching me possessively. Ashlen just looked confused, all she could tell was that his attention had completely switched and he didn't even notice her pulling on his arm anymore.
