"Hey." I said, walking into the kitchen with Bronte to see Opie with Jax.
"Hello pretty girl." Opie grinned, grabbing Bront from me.
"Where's Chibs?"
They looked at eachother & Jax smirked.
"He's with the sherif." Opie mumbled, walking around with Bronte.
"That new one?" I asked, grabbing a snack from the fridge.
"Mm, she's lovely." Jax mocked & I raised my eyebrows.
"She?"
"Jaffrey." Opie muttered & I crossed my arms over my chest.
"And Chibs is with her doing what exactly?"
"Keeping tabs."
"You couldn't send anyone else?"
"He's my right hand man Jade."
I nodded & Bronte started to cry.
"I know, uncle Jax's stupidity is enough to make any girl cry." I mocked & he laughed, glaring at me.
"He should be back soon."
"So what tabs is he keeping exactly?"
"Well we give her a little bit, she gives us a little bit."
"Mm, it better be intel that you're talking about, because if he's giving her anything else, I'll cut his dick off."
Jax raised his eyebrows and Opie grinned.
"I'll be sure to let him know."
I grabbed Bronte again & left the clubhouse to see Clay pulling in.
"Hey, I really need to talk to you."
"Shoot." He said, sitting on his bike but taking his helmet off.
"I've got a friend."
"No."
"You don't even know what I was going to ask."
"You're going to tell me your friend is an office girl & can handle the office while you're gone."
I stayed silent & Clay smiled.
"I practically raised you Jade, give me a little credit." He laughed and I grinned.
"Stacey is super nice & loyal."
"I don't need another girl in there. Your mother is handling it just fine."
"Clay come on, you know she helps me with the girls a lot & even Tara, she's run off her feet. Let me bring Stacey in & you can both meet her."
"Fine. Tomorrow, if she doesn't excite me, this is it."
"Deal. I promise." I nodded and he grinned, hugging me to his side.
I walked to my car with Bronte & drove to Dakotas school.
